Teh fuck?
you sounded like you were threatening to report, so came forward and protested by saying: "you can't report him, he's a fucking editor!"
I did? Hu.. Apparently I'm so awesome that everything I do is intimidating!

For those wondering if it will get through in Australia, both of you, it seems it's already been rated MA15+ here.

"The game also contains some sexual content and depictions of nudity." Okay, now we're talking - but is there sideboob [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/96960-Final-Fantasy-XIII-Rated-T-For-Sideboob]? Inquiring minds want to know!
i'm shocked that with your track record of watching questionable Japanese trailers at work that you haven't already played the demo many times in the name of "research"

i'm just shocked it wasn't given the M for the Cleo Clit, tho i guess i can see why it would get it for the Demon Wang

There's something about this game that I find weird. No it isn't the 'floppy demon wang' as Mr. Funk so delicately put it, or all of the other strange stuff like undead babies. Don't get the wrong idea about what I'm going to say next, it looks promising and all, but for some reason I've got a niggling thought in the back of my head thinking that Dante's Inferno is trying too hard.

Now I'm expecting a lot of negative feedback from that last statement, but I'm sticking with that thought in my head. Don't ask me why I think that, and I won't try to justify it if you do ask me, which I'm sure some of you will.

Oh great, more blue penis. Wasn't Watchmen enough? Is the market for blue wang not fully saturated at this point?
Oh well, as long as it isn't used as a *shudder* weapon...but if it is, I want to be able to do it to. Equal penis rights are only fair. A whole new reign of genital terror!
Now Doc. Manhattan will have to hide his johnson in shame due to it's minuscule size. Yep, demons' wang can be quite "huge" (hentai_perv_pro, 2009).

I would like to note here that when I read the article, there were sixty-nine comments. Hur hur hur. And now we know why the Spartans were so eager to dine in Hell. Hur hur hur.

Now for the serious part... hrm. Wait. I thought I had one. Where'd it go... maybe I'll just steal someone else's.

Pushing the envelope just for the sake of envelope-pushing often leaves other considerations... um... unconsidered. I've played the early demo and wasn't very impressed- aside from the (admittedly nice) graphics and demon boobies (complete with baby-spitting nipples!), there didn't seem to be much TO the game.

For (unfortunately not) the last time: Forum threads have absolutely no bearing on what we post on the front page of the site. Many people come to the site and don't read the forums at all. Just because it gets posted in the News Room forum does not make this a forum thread, it makes it a news post.
So we could post a thread in the gaming discussion that has already been posted in the news room right?

No.

I realize this comes off as a double standard, considering that there are many people who solely use the forums, and who only read the news posts as forum posts in the News Room. But when we make news posts, we make a news post - like an article, it is its own separate entity. It also happens that creating a news post creates a forum thread in the News Room for people to discuss it, that's part of our automated system (and I think people enjoy having a place to discuss things).

We try to minimize duplicate threads. If there is already a discussion thread for something, we ask that you take it there instead of starting a new one. Now, because posting a news item automatically generates the forum thread, that IS the discussion thread, so we'd ask that people discuss the thing there rather than creating new threads about it in Gaming or Off-Topic. However, if there's a thread in Gaming or Off-topic, it has no bearing on if we decide to write a news post about it - which simultaneously generates a forum thread.

They're two separate things, with a bit of overlap.

It seems they've paid so much attention to the game being disturbing in every way possible that I have to wonder if they focused on the gameplay at all.

I won't be playing it. If I wanted to kill lots and lots of demons in a violent and bloody manner, I have Painkiller for that. Plus, you get to do it with guns, which is much more fun.

That is hilarious.

I'm realy wondering what it would take to make it an AO game, though. If a floppy demon wang won't do it, what will? Or did they cite the Hitman 2 precedent, which had a grand total of two male tools and still got an M rating?

I've been looking at this game for a while, it's not quite my usual genere (I'm okay at fighting games due to practice, but not all that wonderful at Brawlers anymore) it has been looking increasingly awesome over time.

I'll definatly be checking it out at some point.

That said, I hope it lives up to the hype and shows that someone isn't afraid of the M rating. Maybe this will coincide with EA carrying on a crusade against Australia's goverment when they inevitably refuse to classify it despite it's classic roots.
