If you're talking about the actual text of our posts I couldn't tell you and would have to ask someone else to analyze my post for me to find out. If you're still referencing our avatars then for me it is the the fact that all of my avatars are either sideways or upside down and I always have a helmet edited in if there was not one already present.
I should clarify, since something similar was said before; but I didn't get a chance earlier to respond. What I am referring to when I say our avatar is the most recognizable part of our posts, I'm talking about your forum identity.

It's much easier to recognize someone sooner than later based on their avatar. As oppose to just looking at the kind of stuff they post. At least for me, unless they have a very catchy name that I'll remember sooner than an image. But I usually recognize avatars first. Then a name becomes more familiar overtime as I read the post content of said person.

At the moment? Akiha Tohno after a certain, spoiler-filled point in Tsukihime.

Succumbed to the Inversion Impulse, and taken over by her demonic bloodline. Right before the two choices that determine her route's ending...none of them happier than bittersweet.

None of that went into the decision-making process, I just remembered this point in the story and thought it would make a good avatar.

All of my avatars have been various Type-Moon women at different points (previous two were Saber and Shiki Ryougi, original was Ciel, during winter I always use either Ilya or Len)...plus Assassin, that one week I dressed up for Halloween. No real big reason, I just happen to love Tsukihime, Fate/Stay Night, and Kara no Kyoukai, and I have simultaneous compulsions to settle on a single identity and to try every option available. Since I don't have or want "alt" accounts, I may as well express it through avatar.

Besides, these characters are all awesome.

Mine is a cover of a very rare live concert from the band Yes that even most fans may never hear. It looks so much better than the original cover for the Going for the One album, they should just change it.

And since I love Yes (and most progressive rock bands) and believe this album should get more attention because Awaken is absolutely amazing, I thought this would be a good way to represent my interests. Thinking of throwing up a Frank Zappa avatar one day.

And the most recognisable thing about my posts is that thing I do. You know that thing? That I do all the time? You won't forget it.

He's a cranky, British steam train. In fact think of every smug arsehole you've ever met, and put their face on a 4-6-2 LNER A3 class locomotive. That's Gordon. He isn't without his good points, but if we're doing a Thomas the Tank Engine variant of the Seven Deadly Sins, Gordon would be the exemplar of Pride.

4-6-3? That's a 4-6-2 wheel arrangement, I believe. You can't have an odd number of wheels.

Train nerdery aside, my avatar is a pot of Citadel (Games Workshop) Bilious Green paint (now sadly discontinued). I'm a massive Warhammer fan, and I just like the sound of the names of their paint colours, not to mention being "bilious green" is a term for feeling nauseous, and I do like a good pun.

You're quite bloody right. 4-6-2, my grandfather would be ashamed of me :p

Well, for about three years, I was using a small, blurry picture of Link from Smash 4. For right now, it's Chrom from Fire Emblem, my favorite FE character. Aside from the new Lord in Fates, Corrin, Chrom is the most interesting FE protagonist by far, since most of them are pretty bland overall. It's a shame he did not make it into Smash, so I will admit I'm still salty about that.

I was an inkling from Splatoon for a bit, but since I'm so into FE at the moment thanks to Fates, Chrom it is for now. If I was more active here, I would probably have not changed my old one, but I don't think it's a big deal to keep my established look.

This is quite funny. Along with a number of others.

Have to say it was quite nice reading many of these avatar posts. And I'm glad the Escapist community has enjoyed expressing themselves in this thread.

It is a picture of Derp Bee, a mascot of the LordKat Mafia. The alternative version is this. Accomplishing a task that is probably easier then breathing. Seriously, just call people out on their BS and boom.

Mine is Cyan from Final Fantasy 6. It's been recolored teal and I made a few extra frames to make his walking animation look smoother. I actually made lots of sprites for a flash movie that had this kind of smooth quality and this was my test-gif to see how it would look.

My old avatar was a chibi Sagat from Street Fighter II with my name under it. I think it was from a collection of portraits from some video game ripped into a sprite sheet. I generally like to use avatars of bald old men and attempt to recreate very unattractive characters to represent the name. Usually teal haired and a long pony tail is what my MMO guys look like.

Mine is a crab with a top hat, monocle and cane. It was the first thing I did in Photoshop which didn't look like crap and I don't think I will every get tired of the image.

It's just a render of some Anime style girl, I have several of them with accompanying Signatures. They were made for me by a friend who is good with photoshop as I am completely useless at it. Pretty much all there is to it really, I think I've had this one for atleast 10 years or so.

It's Godzilla, screen-captured from a shot in one of the trailers that wasn't used in the movie, which kind of sucks, that shot was awesome.

I wouldn't say it reflects anything about me as a person other than a personal love for the Big G; I'm a small guy but some would call me loud, or at least noisy, I talk a lot and I got a voice that carries.

As for my posting habits, I try not to get cynical, which is typically the flavor of the day around here. And there's one thing I do, I don't do it on purpose, it just feels appropriate a lot of the time: I throw in the word "Anyway" and give it it's own line when I'm changing topics, just to make sure people reading know I'm switchin' gears.

Dr. Orpheus from The Venture Bros. Despite his sinister appearance and overly-dramatic mannerisms ("If I reach behind your ear, it will not be a nickel I pull out, BUT YOUR VERY SOULLLLLLLLL!!!!), plus the fact that he is literally a necromancer, he is probably the most moral individual on the entire show. He might look and sound evil, but he is definitely one of the heroes.

I actually kinda wish that Dr. Orpheus had his own show. He's the best thing about the whole series.

Orpheus is the best.

My avatar is something I drew about a skillion years ago. I don't think I have the full drawing anymore..

Arsene Lupin based off the real life Arsene Lupin which is the main Persona (physical manifestation of a person's psyche that FIRES MAGIC) of the protagonist of Persona 5.

I'm quite excited for Persona 5 you see, so much so that I love the design too much to abandon it as avatar forever.
