Where does your profile pic originate from ?
The Moon hologram. It is one of our reptiloid overladies in a holographic disguise, eating one of her native dishes.

Any particular reason you are fond of that pic to help represent your forum personality.
Well, I am an ambassador for the lizard people, so it seemed fitting. It's not so much my personality as my vocation.

And what is ultimately the most recognizable aspect of your forum posts.
That would actually be my snark.

But seriously, it's Anita Sarkeesian eating popcorn and laughing, because the image of Anita Sarkeesian eating popcorn and laughing amused me.

People kept assuming I was male because of the default avatar, so I decided I needed something else. I like Dragon Quest and slimes are cute, so, yeah.

Probably not helping with the gender confusing, though.
Yeah, now I just assume you're a slime.

...do slimes have a gender?

Haha, no dude, it's been like that for months. I ended up turning off avatars completely to make it go away. (Which is actually not as bad as it sounds, because having no avatars displayed improves site load times quite nicely.)

Actually, who was the person who originally said it "only lasts for 24 hours"? Because that person is a liar.
It's intended to last 24 hours. If nobody's suggested it, try clearing your cache. Seems to work.

Unlike SOME PEOPLE, I also prize perpetuity in avatar usage. Tradition is important! Without consistency, there is chaos!
Then let the chaos reign!

Mwahahahahahahahahaha!

...speaking of, I should change my avatar again.

Silhouette of the main character in the video game I'm developing. It's cool; filled to burst with robots and stuff. Behind her are some of the weapons she'll be able to use.

The particular image is cropped from the album cover for the game's original soundtrack.

Just describe it? Okay then! Ready?

It's Jessica Chobot. Being slightly suggestive with a leccy guitar. That is all.

...wait, no it isn't: I'd like to change it, but everything I wanted to switch to just doesn't really look good enough in such a low res. So apathy dictates The Chobot endures.

It's a gif from the anime Haganai! Edited by a user called AKissLikeASmile, formly known as Legion. Just picked it because I like the show, love the character, and it's got anime boobies in it.

The last question is a tough one. I honestly have no idea how people would notice me around here, short of my avatars. Even maybe not that much. So maybe others could enlighten me on my most noticeable aspect.

This hand actually belongs to my Rock Band musician. I use the hand instead of the face because the former ended up better looking than the later.

Spent like a year struggling with all this harassment, people kept saying "hey, get an avatar" and "you have a new account!" so I finally caved and took Samus Aran since the week before I got the Metroid Prime Trilogy.

Probably would've changed it already, but its quite benign and the formatting with other avatars has been a hassle in the past.

I can attest to the '24 hour' thing not working correctly. I've had the Bieber avatars a couple of times, and they've never corrected themselves after 24 hours. I've always had to seek tech assistance to make them go away again.

I guess the Biebers just mysteriously get 'stuck' on certain profiles.

I've known a couple of people for which cache clearing has worked. It's mostly something to try. I'm aware it happens, though I only had mine for about 24 hours. Just suggesting something I know has worked.

It's Nep Nep from the Hyperdimension Neptunia series, the Top Nep is a version of Top Kek, when I saw it on the internet someday I knew that this has to be my new avatar, I do feel like changing back to the crazy Kappa though.

Any particular reason you are fond of that pic to help represent your forum personality.
It's mfw reading the posts of SJWs and the like.

And what is ultimately the most recognizable aspect of your forum posts.
My opinions mostly go against the hive mind and I don't alter them to appease others, I type what I think.

Where does your profile pic originate from?
My current avatar originates from a series of images where a seal clubber ends up being the one clubbed to death. The helmet is from Fallout New Vegas and another one of my avatars, and the orientation is reminiscent of my original avatar.

Any particular reason you are fond of that pic to help represent your forum personality.
I just really liked the image.

And what is ultimately the most recognizable aspect of your forum posts.
If you're talking about the actual text of our posts I couldn't tell you and would have to ask someone else to analyze my post for me to find out. If you're still referencing our avatars then for me it is the the fact that all of my avatars are either sideways or upside down and I always have a helmet edited in if there was not one already present.

Mine is the eponymous Zerg hyrdralisk from StarCraft 1: a decently powerful ranged attacker that stays useful throughout a skirmish with upgrades that increase damage and cause poison.

A hideously ugly monstrosity that spits poisonous barbs and roars with unintelligible sounds? Sounds like me!

Battletech/Mechwarrior

Every forum I go to needs a bit more Battletech in it. Beyond that, Battletech is perhaps my favorite franchise, and House Davion (The actual avatar is the House Davion crest) is my favorite house.

And what is ultimately the most recognizable aspect of your forum posts.
I have chosen to stick with this avatar indefinitely because I'm a big fan of easy recognition. Beyond that, it doesn't say much about my posts, which are mostly categorized by the overwhelming quantity of spelling and grammatical errors, poorly considered positions, rambling delivery, and often offensive terminology.

EDIT: For people who don't know what Battletech is...

It's two panels of Toph from the Avatar: The Lost Adventures comic collection. In the particular comic King Bumi boasts about being the greatest earthbender of all time, Toph happens to hear it, and the reaction is my avatar. It just captures her character so well, and I felt it in some way might describe me as well. My laugh tends to be rather loud.

Distinctive traits about my posts? Well fuck me if I know. I just write what I write. Sometimes long posts, but usually I keep it to 3-5 paragraphs. Brevity is the soul of wit after all. Well, I tend to be quite careful of my grammar. The grammar nazi badge needs to be earned after all, and standards have to be met in order to sustain my right to bear it.

Not sure as to from where i first picked it up but later found out it was one of MR.Royo's designs, one of the few 'decent enough' for public usage. If you are familiar with his work, you'll understand what that means.
Was the first avie i used back when i first set foot into the high seas of information some decade or so ago. I've switched a few times over the years and through forums but always came back to that one. Bit of a stickler for habits i suppose.
