I was and still am abnormally fond of Raiden and his "Jack the Ripper" shtick.
On the side, I love Gothic Victorian aesthetics.
So from there it was obvious to me what to do
Get a Jack the Ripper image of the internet and give it funny red eyes for shits and giggles.

as of this post it's a slightly modified atma kriya yoga emblem. i chose it as my avatar after doing a google image search for my nickname, 'aky'. it stood out to me because i too am fond of meditation, and it's a solid visual reflection of my composed personality. more than that though, i did some rudimentary research into the atma kriya and didn't find their values to be too objectionable, so i don't mind the incidental association either.

Its uh...Carmalita Fox, from the Sly Cooper games. And she's angry because Sly found her tied up in an airship, and rather than free her he leaves her trapped in a closet so he can steal gold from the bad guys.

Although I've been considering changing it. I change about once a year, and its about that time again. Any ideas?

My Avy is Inquisitorial General Esdeath Partas from Akame Ga Kill!. The most powerful being in the series, as well as the deuterantagonist. Described as a "one woman walking apocalypse", she wields the Demon's Blood Extract imperial arms, which allows her to generate and manipulate an infinite amount of ice out of thin air. A pattern sadist and torture technician, she is a motherly type to her soldiers and a mercilessly sadistic psychopath to her enemies. Loved by some, hated by most, feared by all. Once buried 10,000 women and children fleeing a battlefield out of pure spite. Believes in Darwinism to the most extreme possible extent: the strong survive, the weak die, no matter who they are.

When the leader of the good guy's team was asked what it would take to kill her, she responded with "30,000 troops (most of which will die trying) and 10 magical weapon users including Akame (the main character)".

Wait. Topaz Fusion didn't die, did he? D:

He just quit the site, right?

OT: My avatar is a Dragon Age Hurlock Emissary (before Bioware ruined the darkspawn's look. xp). He's also holding the avatar of another Escapist poster who made this group; http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/Catoholics-anonymous

My avatar was made for me by Eclipse Dragon. It's part of a "group photo" she made for a group we're a part of.

Orendi, from the upcoming game Battleborn.

My most anticipated character from that game, and most likely being my main.

It's not particularly the main story in which Ibuki shines, but it's after you beat the game and get to do the alternate story where

Monomi beats Monokuma and you get to spend time with the others. In Ibuki's case, the first few times you're doing things with her, it seems like it's just random stuff that she comes up with. However, at the end of it, you realize it's not what you're doing, but how you express yourself when doing things and how Ibuki is just naturally herself when she's doing things and encourages Hajime to do the same and put forth all of himself when he does what he does. Very moving, IMHO.

As for the main story, Gundham is 2nd for me and, especially with how they wrote the story, does even hold a candle to the person that became my 2nd best female character of all time, and the most moving character in Danganronpa 2...

It appears that it is wiser to retreat for now. Fine, then. But regardless of good or evil, there's no deceit in upholding one's convictions.

Also, I forgot about your #2 female; she might even tie with Byakuya.

Because it's Bender, and it helps keep me in perspective. Because it's the internet, and I just need to remember that this clip applies to both my opinions and everybody else's online:

Last I checked, he was alive. I can't see now, though, since his profile and posts have all been scrubbed, salted and purged.

Haha, no dude, it's been like that for months. I ended up turning off avatars completely to make it go away. (Which is actually not as bad as it sounds, because having no avatars displayed improves site load times quite nicely.)

Actually, who was the person who originally said it "only lasts for 24 hours"? Because that person is a liar.
It's intended to last 24 hours. If nobody's suggested it, try clearing your cache. Seems to work.
I can attest to the '24 hour' thing not working correctly. I've had the Bieber avatars a couple of times, and they've never corrected themselves after 24 hours. I've always had to seek tech assistance to make them go away again.

I guess the Biebers just mysteriously get 'stuck' on certain profiles.
Logging out and logging back in always seems to work for me. I've been Bieber'd about 5 times now by my loving colleagues already, lol.

As for my avatar, it is Lt. Commander Data from Star Trek: The Next Generation. I normally find amusing Star Trek related images to use as an avatar, since it fits my username. (FileTrekker was always my name. File for FileFront, now GameFront, Trekker cause, well, I like Star Trek).

Mine I got when I bought the special edition of Fallout: Tactics, back in the days before Steam. Well, about 15 years ago. There were a bunch of gifs that came on the CD. I just loved the Brotherhood full power armor design, and by the point in the game where you can walk around like that carrying a minigun it just feels so fucking boss.

Yes, Tactics is my favorite Fallout game. Maybe because it was the first one I really got into, but I still look at it today as simply the best era in turn-based combat, before things got really simple. The story really kept it up through the whole thing too, every new area was some kind of revelation or introduction to something crazy - a new species, a new run down facility, a faction of psychos, or just scary as fuck mutants.

But enough about the game. I've had this avatar since I joined here, it's a little pixel-y because of the size limit. It doesn't really represent me all that much, other than the fact that the Brotherhood is my favorite faction in the Fallout games. Maybe has something to do with my weird phobia of electricity becoming non-existent one day, and the fact that I always think about what it would be in an apocalypse - I always run scenarios through my mind what life would be like without it.

It's me.
An animated style of portrait that I got done at a convention at long time ago.
It's my Twitter and Youtube profile picture, where I'm known quite a bit by the photo, so I thought, "why not here?"

It's basically a icon of a certain Youtuber's (ChilledChaos) community.
I've always liked it. Yes, I've liked my previous avatars, which are mostly of Tomoya Okazaki from Clannad, but... well, this feels more personal ever since I left a certain other community.

Train Heartnet AKA Black Cat from the anime of the same name.

It is one of my favorite shows to originate from the Nihon, for I am a weeb, and doomed to die alone.

Most people would probably watch this anime and say it was nothing special, and they are right. Its special to me because it represents a time in my life when I realized that I needed to like the things I like, and not have my life dictated by what other people think is "normal". I kinda started to grow up when I did that.

Well, as of August 16, 2015, my avatar's the Wii U that Iwata holds during E3 2012 that flips through channels that I both like as well as giving a glimpse as to who I am as a person leading up the final channel showing 2014 Iwata from that one Smash Bros. E3 trailer before turning off and the avatar's camera panning to 2012 Iwata... and the cycle continues... (Avatar created by Caramel Frappe upon PM request...)

Before that, it was just Iwata holding the Wii U because I didn't want to just use the whole "Iwata holding bananas" theme as a means to tribute to Iwata himself...

Before that, it was an upside-down cropped pic of Excellia from Corruption of Champions... The OG pic was found off the e621 website...

Before that, it was Erin reacting to each of the Mane 6 from Friendship is Magic... (Avatar also created by Caramel Frappe via the thread about pre-planning to celebrate the anniversary of Erin herself...)

Before that, it was one of two Justin Beiber tearing gifs depending on how you looked through a particular comment thread regarding the end of MM 2015... (Thanks, Tech Team!)

Before that, it was my requested MM 2015 avatar, where Afro cuts a live MM RPG rocket aimed at him, which blows up behind him while revealing the MM logo of 2015... (Avatar, again, created by Caramel Frappe through MM 2015 Avatar Request thread...)

Before that, it was an upside-down version of the stain-glassed Rainbow Dash from Akili-Amethyst's collection, the one that I've worn the most so far since having an Escapist account, only at the time, the white background was cropped away by <url=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/Frezzato>someone on this forum who's name escapes me, yet their avatar always seems to be wearing something almost every time I see them comment on a thread...

Before that, it was an upside-down Rainbow Dash with a Santa hat on her head... The OG pic was her wearing wireless headphones and adding the Santa hat fit so well on her...

Before that, it was a stain-glassed King Sombra from Akili-Amethyst's collection... only it was all upside-down...

Before that, it was an upside-down version of the stain-glassed Rainbow Dash from Akili-Amethyst's collection, the one that I've worn the most so far since having an Escapist account, only at the time, the white background was still there... (Not sure why it wasn't black like last time, though...)

Before that, it was <url=http://i.ytimg.com/vi/Lym83GQc0r4/0.jpg>this... There's a story regarding choosing that for April Fools' Day, but that's more of an inside joke to me personally...

Before that, it was an upside-down version of the stain-glassed Rainbow Dash from Akili-Amethyst's collection, the one that I've worn the most so far since having an Escapist account, only at the time, the background was black and, upon request, the MM logo at the time was posted on the top of it...

Before that, it was an upside-down version of the stain-glassed Rainbow Dash from Akili-Amethyst's collection, the one that I've worn the most so far since having an Escapist account, only at the time, the background was black, I was just starting my Pub Club journey, and it was actually right-side up...

Before that, it was an upside-down version of the stain-glassed Rainbow Dash from Akili-Amethyst's collection, the one that I've worn the most so far since having an Escapist account, only at the time, the background was white for some reason and it was actually right-side up...

Before that, it was a young Justin Beiber during Halloween 2013... (I pressed the red button... :p)

Before that, it was an upside-down version of the stain-glassed Rainbow Dash from Akili-Amethyst's collection, the one that I've worn the most so far since having an Escapist account, only at the time, the background was black for some reason and it was actually right-side up...

Before that, it was a faceless [literal] white dude in a yellow shirt with a black cap on their head and a blue background behind him... Good thing I added an avatar before making my first comment, I guess...
This ninja post took a bit longer to recreate since I also wanted to add an extra link to where I'm referencing to Frezzato...
Now, currently, it's still the same avatar from all the way back in August 16, 2015 only it's the fourth iteration of said avatar created by Avatar Smith Caramel Frappe upon request... The second iteration was first worn on September 19, 2015, the third iteration (which was the Halloween version of the second iteration) was first worn on October 8, 2015 and all throughout October before going back to the second iteration, and the fourth iteration has been my current avatar since March 9, 2016, to be exact from my timezone...

Other than that, I guess I could describe what each "channel" is referring to, but I'll just let the "channels" speak for themselves... ;p

<color=white>Edit (March 15, 2016 1:11PST): Also, most of my post are filled with ellipses... Seriously... I wish I was joking... I have an addiction...

It's Carl, from Aqua Teen Hunger Force, as a Space Marine Chaplain, from the Imperial Fists, but is also in the Deathwatch. This sounds a bit cringey now that I write it out, but I made it, and I'm damn proud of it.

Where does your profile pic originate from?
It's King's Quest! Particularly King's Quest(2015) Chapter II: Rubble Without a Cause

-Jak- said:
Any particular reason you are fond of that pic to help represent your forum personality.
I hadn't really thought about it other than "what do I like from this game that I can use to make my own avatar though the whole scene is a pretty good example of what I'm generally like (aside from the fact that I just love the fluidity of the animation in that game) - Graham is patiently listening to this guy prattle on and on and always touching all of Graham's stuff and he just rolls his eyes and listens and that's how I respond to a lot of conversation: just listening, rolling my eyes, tolerating other people touching my stuff.

-Jak- said:
And what is ultimately the most recognizable aspect of your forum posts.
It gets easier reading my posts when I preface them with "Just read this in Handsome Jack's voice" because that's essentially what I type as; a snarky, immature asshole who doesn't use big words and half the time I dunno what the hell I'm even talkin' about. The most recognizable aspect though is probably the lack of tact I manage to make present in, like, ALL of my posts. I'm pretty smart most of the time but you wouldn't be able to tell from my posts.
