I'm genuinely interested in the rationalisations & defences Trump-favouring forumites will come up with.

I mean, calling it fraud without a shred of evidence, launching suits to have valid votes discounted or counts stopped, outright claiming victory falsely... its tinpot dictator stuff. He's unhinged. Anybody with the faintest belief in lawful democracy has to agree its bollocks, surely.

No, it's not tinpot dictator stuff. If he tried to send in troops to do anything about it, it'd be tinpot dictator stuff. If the courts came up with some silly irrational ruling that Trump wins because the Democrats were mean, it'd be tinpot dictator stuff.

As it stands, Trump is an entertainer trying to make a show of it.

Yes but the infighting always seems to look the same.

One person accusing another of not being progressive enough.

It's very rarely about ideas so much as trying to climb in standing or push out some-one there's a personal dislike for.

In recent memory.

Contrapoints in Transphobic was one such push.

Vaush hates women was another one.

You can trace the pattern right back to the likes of the JJ talks fights many years back.

As for how to do you message it?

You campaign for drastic police reform that is supportive of the purpose of police while eliminating flaws, and disown the people who think police are just modern day slavers and want the abolition of law enforcement.
You campaign for government healthcare as a social good rather than some inalienable right that all people are obligated to support.
You stop pretending right-wing politics is racism. You stop pretending right-wing politics is racism. You stop pretending right-wing politics is racism. Nobody cares to hear an anti-racism message when racism is "anything I happen to disagree with." In fact, never message any policy as "anti-something" unless you are specific and upfront about what that something is.

I would say that they have a substantial disagreement. Then the media claims one side is not progressive enough, Eg. A major recent one is JK Rowling. Many people HD different claims about what appropriate. Then the media pretend it was just about her not being progressive enough. Like, if you’re not going to bother to find out viewpoints from all sides then maybe calm down with your rhetoric

I really hope this will finally teach the Dems that they really need to understand the needs of the people. This should have been a landslide for them, but they were insistent in choosing Joe for the nominee. I hope they will get their act together in the next 4 years and actually choose progressive outsiders. The people want someone that can actually talk like them.
