OOH! That reminds me!Shoggoth2588 said:I just signed up and already feel like a bastard...For what it's worth, I'm sorry about my fellow Escapists from around the world. Look at it this way, the story behind this reads, "Your fellow Escapists are disappearing." I know a lot of people will be happier with less Americans around.
Now then, *puts on my RP pants*
*ahem*

"Uuugh...where the hell am I?" *looks around* "Hello?! Can anybody hear me?! Hello!!!"
I don't think it works that way. I think starting Monday,we can enter the mansion and from there it'll be a luck based roam around the mansion for points.Omega Scythe said:I wonder how exactly they expect us to be able to find users with the "Undead Monster" badge. Do we just have to watch the leaderboards? Do we just have to scour the forums until we see it beneath people's posts? Seems that the more time you are willing to put in, the better you're able to do.
I am guessing its a "we can only mail the xbox to people who live in the states" thing.JediMB said:This. It's incredibly bothersome that such an international community only ever gets contests aimed solely at the US.Hagi said:I'm bothered by the fact that every single contest is US-only.
After seeing your score, I went to look at the mansion again. There was a section of the wall missing to reveal a room; I clicked on it, it revealed another room, and I got a dialogue box.RagnaThePig said:The leaderboard says I am first with 14 points already, Obviously, the game is not working correctly.
I see. So, same effect that I got, then. Well, it seems they're most likely experiencing technical difficulties. Hopefully it won't adversely affect our game efforts.RagnaThePig said:I clicked that "Denizen of Nightmare Mansion" badge under your avatar but all it did was refreshing the page.
This thing exactly just happened to me. Is this bugged?Omega Scythe said:After seeing your score, I went to look at the mansion again. And then......nothing. I clicked everywhere, and nothing. I proceeded to reload the page, to see if something was wrong, but it just took me back to just having one room revealed, and now clicking did absolutely nothing.
I really hope this is just screwed up. If I accidentally put myself at a disadvantage because the game isn't working properly, I'm going to be extremely upset.
EDIT: Aaaaand now it appears I have a new badge, presumably that "Undead Monster" one they spoke of. Clicking on it does nothing for me; Anyone else want to give it a go?
2ND EDIT: The "welcome to the mansion" dialogue box is back again. Methinks I smell frantic bug fixing behind the scenes....
Hopefully they'll just reset the score or something- let us do some beta testing now and start the game at a later date?Omega Scythe said:I see. So, same effect that I got, then. A few people are getting around a dozen points already, I am wondering if this is normal or not. I know this is one of these games with limited actions every day but it should be clearer about what we can still do and what we have accomplished so far. Echo Bazaar did this well. Here, I have no idea if everything is glitching or if this is normal but poorly explained.Erana said:Hopefully they'll just reset the score or something- let us do some beta testing now and start the game at a later date?
So, this is day one, then?Selerik said:What is happening is that you get a chance, per click, to kill a monster.
If you do, +1 point and you can click 'that room' again.
If you don't, new room appears and you get no points.
So each day we have a random chance to rack up points. A few people were very lucky on day one.
Also, they must have the 'Undead Monster' badge on their profile to be clicked for a chance to gain/lose points. I havn't seen anyone with THAT badge yet.
This seems to match the rules stated in the introduction more or less spot on.
You kind of missed the point and just reposted info we already have. Which doesn't help at all.Selerik said:What is happening is that you get a chance, per click, to kill a monster.

My comments were based on playing the game myself and talking with a few others playing.silent_J said:You kind of missed the point and just reposted info we already have. Which doesn't help at all.
Some people have points and did nothing. The Denizen badge also says "Fight me if you dare" which leads us to believe it's the "Undead Minion" badge referred to, with the "correct" name. The rules/OP does have some other conflicting information after all, so it's not a stretch to think the badge name is wrong.
First post, new account.. Yeah.If you don't really know anything, please don't pretend to. Because it only causes confusion. Thanks.
