when i do the insert image, all i get is a small box with what looks like a small landscape with "image" next to it, in the post it shows that, not the image...i think the url might be a teeny bit off but i dont see how, maybe my computer is just plotting against me again.. *sigh*

I recently found out by myself that you can add videos from video.google.com (or whatever) with [ googlevideo= ], much like you can use [ youtube= ]. Also the videos that are posted by for example Yahtzee or Rebecca Mayes here on the Escapist is [ video= ] or something like that. But I couldn't figure out how to actually post your own videos. Probably restricted.

You can't post your own videos here, you can only upload them onto another site (such as Youtube) and post them from there. You can also post videos from Vimeo and GameTrailers with [vimeo=] and [gametrailers=].

I know how - there is a way - however the moderators don't want everyone knowing all the video embedding codes hence their exclusion and some other BBcodes from the guide

As people have mentions this has been done before. But this one is very informative, i didn't know all about right aligning image. One of these types of threads needs to be made sticky.

We don't need it stickied, its a good way for the community to look after itself, I mean when a newbie shows up and the users dazzle them with their blinding BB coding skills they can point in the right direction of this thread like good users.
