Goodness, I'm sure I have. I play online games so I'm bound to have some, I just can't remember specifics. Either people are too nice or they call me names, but rarely threaten to kill me. Sometimes they tell me to stop playing. I wish I could remember specifics. Some of these are hilarious.

Also, that picture was hilarious as well. I'm Christian, and I laugh because it shows how stupid the extremists are. So happy my church isn't like that.

I am one of precisely 10% of the internet not ever given a death threat.
Hey, i'm part of that 10% aswell! :D *High five*

All i've had is the odd 'fag' and stereotypical Welsh jokes thrown at me.

Oh, I was under the impression that this was the internet and that receiving death threats was a requirement to staying the night.

I think receiving death threats comes with the territory when you play games online, particularly MOBA games.

I get those from my guildmates all the time
Though I probably deserve most of them and they are really nice to me, when we meet :)

Oh and I got one on a bleach forum, because I mentioned that I like one of the girl characters more than another one. Probably had this one coming, too!

I've been called nasty things, but I don't remember getting death threats though.

Out of all people, I received a death threat from John Mayer fan boy. His latest album sucks, everyone knows that.
I don't even know who John Mayer is!

once from I guy that fell in love with me online and I finally told him to back the hell off, and then he sent a supposed suicide letter and then pretended to be his own best friend that swore booly and brutal vengance on "the ***** that crushed his heart and killed him"

well I am assuming that he didn't commit suicide, because if he did that would really have been a stupid reason to do it...

On Twitter, a 'friend' issued a violent threat against me, and insulted me. He has since apologised saying he was not thinking straight. Those comments were very hurtful, and I'm still not ready to forgive him for it.

By some hilarious coincidence,

I posted a review of Killzone 2 on release day, I have it a 7/10 for Trying to use "graphics" for innovation and ripping off other much better shooters. I got 99 hate messages, 33 of them were death threats. ( this was on gametrailers forums.)

There've been one or two times, funnily enough whilst playing multiplayer games.
The one that really sticks in my mind was in Black Ops TDM. I got a message after a pretty good round sniping... apparently 'hardscoping' is something punishable by death. He asked whether I was too afraid to play the game 'properly' and that if I was, I should kill myself (not in those terms, obviously).
By the time I'd deciphered his horrible grammar, the next round started. I proceeded to do the exact same, only this time, I went out of my way to target him. He should've learnt not to run around in the open...
He rage-quitted a few minutes later. Justice.

Well, my most common method of communication on the internet is to depict how I will kill the person I'm talking to.

But no, I have not received a threat in internet, only in real life.

All the damn time, being the head admin on a Minecraft server as well as a mod/semi-admin on a few sites around the net I never hear the end of them. Ban someone from the server? Few minutes later I get a skype message telling me that they are going to track me down. Remove a post someone has made? I am suddenly worse than Hitler and that I don't deserve to live. (Note: I have actually been called this for removing a forum post filled with racial slurs, that was a good one. Wish I still had it.)

Majority of the time I just laugh it off and give them another warning or something.

One of the more fun times was on the server, I jailed someone for griefing. He started saying that he would get his brother to take down our server and make my computer explode and never work again. Around five minutes into his rant, his brother joins the server. Now his brother is a cool guy and we never have any problems with him, most of the time he is actually pretty helpful. Just for the lulz I ask the brother what the guy I jailed was talking about. His response was essentially telling him to shut up and stop telling lies. Then apologizing profusely for the jailed guy's idiocy.

I was on GaiaOnline for quite a while, so I'm fairly certain it's happened at least once.

Someone once told me they were "gonna punch my lights out" whilst playing Test Drive Unlimited. I laughed and asked them if they were going to get out of the car and come over to do it, then proceeded to mock them further, up until the point they rage-quit the game. Noob.

Whenever I spoke up on XBox Live, I'd either get asked out or cursed out. Sometimes the cursing out included death threats. I believe my favorite was when a guy threatened to skull fuck me if I killed him again. What a charmer.

I get them on a regular basis. I help run a TF2 server, so I get wonderful threats from the assholes we deal with. My favorite was the kid who said he would rape my mother, fornicate with my father's skull, kill my dog, then teabag me to death while wearing my dog's skin as a condom.

I couldn't stop laughing.
Oh, the classic threaten the admin thingy. I tended to put those messages in the hall of shame back when I handled a Garry's Mod community. Not that I got many, mind... even though I banned tons of little pricks.

Then again, if they have nothing to go on, it doesn't really serve much use telling threats.

On the other hand... if I play Spy, I want death threats and Engie tears (they're tasty!)...

Back in the days I played the original Halo: Combat Evolved on PC, I was told to inform someone "Where you live so I can light you on fire and rape you to death with a crossbow".

Needless to say, I never saw him again when he ragequitted. I will never forget you, 13-year-old playing on his bro's PC.
