What is it about this site that eats chief editors so quickly?
That's what I was thinking. I know contractually she probably can't say anything bad, but there has got to be something that is making this site bleed editors.
It's not just The Escapist, it's the industry in general.
When you're at the top, you're the most visible and, if you're doing it right, the most likely to get picked when the question "Who should we make the offer to?" arises.

Ms. Arendt, you have done great things and will, I have no doubt, continue to change the world and be a voice for that change. May your path be as challenging as you wish it and your journey be as fun as you can dream.

Well, aside from not being particularly fond of her reviews, I don't really have much to associate Susan with, so my personal feelings on the matter can pretty much be summed up by: Ok. Good luck. I hope your replacement doesn't suck.

Wow, I was on here a good bit yesterday and I didn't see this.

You will be greatly missed Susan. It will definitely feel weird not having you around as a large part of The Escapist, as it felt like you were an integral part of site, not in the part of content creation and running the place(while all that was superb), but in that you are a wonderful person with a personality that exudes great character. You pretty much stole the show in everything you were a part of around here.

Another piece of the Podcat puzzle will be missing, and it definitely won't be the same without you.

Good luck in your grand new adventure.

No no no no no no I refuse to believe this, this is all just a hallucination brought on by the sickness I am going through. Yes that is the only logical explanation. Oh well I wish you luck in your future endeavors even though we will all miss you Q.Q

I hope you still are involved with the site even though you are passing the mantle of Cute Animal Rangler or CAR Editor in Chief! This was a shock to see but I know wherever you find yourself, you'll bring the passion of video games with you.

[sub][sub]Please continue to be in the podcasts. T.T[/sub][/sub]

I wish you well Ms. Arendt in your future endeavors. Since joining this site a few years ago thanks to Zero Punctuation (as most of my fellow Escapists apparently did) I have enjoyed the articles, videos and other content. Because of some of your reviews, most notably Tokyo Jungle, I have found some awesome games I would never otherwise heard of.
Thank you for your great editorial works and I hope your legacy engenders a continuation of the greatness of this site.

the need of one is sometimes as important as the need of the many.

live long and prosper, Susan.

Your reviews were always refreshing (expect the ME3 one).

Very sorry to see you go - your voice will be missed. But, mayhaps, this won't be forever, eh? Never say never!

Sucks to see you go Susan. I realise I'm not one of those regular personality's around the escapists or anyone famous really, but all the same I've been a fan of your work on here. Gonna miss having you around.

But, don't forget. You'll always have a place here at the escapist.

Awful news and a great blow to this site. There are several games in my collection solely due to an Arendt recommendation and I've never been disappointed. The site, and most importantly, the Podcat won't be the same without you.

So long and thanks for all the fish

I'll join the chorus that is sorry to see Susan go. Her presence here has been marked with intelligence, a clear and piercing writing style, and a distinct and often revelatory angle.

Thank you for your time at the Escapist, Susan. Whatever you go on to do, I hope it will be something in which we can similarly share- we would surely be richer for the experience.
