Did Farming Simulator kill your family or something, Mr. Chalk? Jeez. This is nasty.

Obviously a game so far from the mainstream taking itself seriously is an opportunity for amusement, but this is pure vitriol.

Is... is this a joke? I mean, I understand the appeal of niche games. I enjoy a few of them myself. But the way this article is phrased seems to make this game come across as the greatest thing since sliced bread. Maybe I should buy the first one to see if it's any good...

You may want to look up the word "sarcasm" in a dictionary. :D
Or maybe you are new to the internet, in which case I apologize.

I understand what sarcasm means. As anyone who has spent any time at all on the internet can tell you, it doesn't translate well through text alone. Thus, my confusion. Maybe you haven't been spending that much time online lately.

No, I do not plan on taking a cruise anytime in the next 6, 9, or 12 months.

This was in the related video section for me.

This means I must pre-order the most expensive version of this awesome game while playing this song twenty four seven. :D
Hahaha! That was far more amusing then this article. Way to pick one of the more WTF moments of the vid for your new avatar. As to the article: I would never have heard of this game without this. (Let alone this video. Thanks for that!)

People who play Call of Duty are casual compared to the REAL gamers who play Farming Simulator.

Last Farm Simulator sold 500,000 copies in Germany.

I just wanna put that out there for discussion.

Germany is a surprisingly awesome market for simulation games (heck, I got a whole shelf of them as well, for whatever reason) ... Doesn't change the fact that those games are the ... weird casual thingy stuff ... No need to mock it, but of course it hardly fits the view of the "core gamer".

I'm going to have to buy 3 copies. One for my best friend for his Birthday and Christmas present and two for myself.

I'd make a snide comment, but I've spent an almost shameful amount of time on Harvest Moon games, so I can't feign superiority.

Also, I believe that Mr. Chalk just gave me a sargasm.

Harvest the Moon: Back to Nature is the only farming game for me.

So is this what farmers do in between real farming, sleeping and hanging out with other farmers (Cause I know they do that). I kid of course.

Awesome. This will definitely scratch my agricultural itch until a new Harvest Moon comes out. Thank god its coming to consoles.

Is a new Harvest Moon coming out?

Article had my smiling like a doofus the whole way through but honestly no need to make fun of the game. Some people really enjoy stuff like this. Hell I have a friend who's logged in 4 days worth of time into Train Simulator already.

Well I can't talk. I own nearly every Harvest Moon game, I'm only missing two of them. But Harvest Moon is different! You get to stalk people all day everyday! You can't stalk villagers on Farming Simulator!

You really can't make fun of the game's intended audience if you ever spoke up against bullying.

It's a niche title, niches exist to be filled. I do feel sort of bad for the kids who'll be getting this one for Christmas though... Enjoy, Billy! Though I suppose they can make youtube vids of breaking the physics in the game horribly, I remember seeing some before and I actually had a good chuckle at 'em.
