Farming Simulator 2013 Wins Gamescom

I think this can be as big of a hit as Street Cleaning simulator. after all, Farming simulator 2011 is what started the whole "going to toilet simulator" fashion we got a new toy from every month now.

I had not heard of this game before, i will not buy the game now that i have, nor interest in playing it.
But.
I am happy that it exists, and that there are people who want to play it.

Simulators are great, to bad Railroad Tycoon and Transport Tycoon Deluxe were the last two really good ones.
Industrie Gigant was bug-infested but actually quite good... Gotta get a copy somewhere again..

Yes, german casual gamers luuuv themselves some Simulator action. It's most definitely not for me but i appreciate that there's still niche games for all sorts of people on the market. "Jedem das seine" is the appropriate proverb i believe. ^^

It's actually got a competitor in Agricultural Simulator, which has been better the last few iterations. This might change that, though Agri 2012 was good.

Just out of curiosity:
How is THIS game more ridiculous, than, say, playing an american soldier with the superpower to regenerate himself incredibly fast and eat tons of bullets, killing about two countries worth of enemies?

Oh I remember this game with the ?sticking things on a tractor and driving them around a bit? trailer.

I don?t really see the um appeal but I guess there is a market for it. I had a friend obsessed with harvest moon and farmvile seems too popular so I guess it shouldn?t seem that strange.
Then again I have been playing The Void lately and you spend most your time in that managing resources and framing colour so I should shut up.

OT: I'm kind of surprised at a lot of the reactions in this thread. The OP struck me as funny, not vicious, and so epically over the top I don't know how anyone could take it as a serious swipe at a gaming niche.

Maybe this game will be surprisingly good like Tropico. Since it's coming to consoles this time I might actually try it out, especially if there's a demo for it.
