Bang Bang Your Dead best movie about bullying ever as it has an actual message to give also its just an amazing movie.Marter said:I think that <url=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.231661>Snow Angels still counts as an "Obscure" movie. Or have I mentioned it too much for that?
If it doesn't count, I pick <url=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.264833>Just Peck instead. Both are really moving films.![]()
Nope, you got a point there.Suarga said:I think hipsters are attention whores and weeaboos can't appreciate their own culture. What do I know, though, I'm an internet troll.
I don't know if Let The Right One In got much praise, but I enjoyed it.
Film4 shows a lot of Miyazaki movies here in the UK and that's a free tv channel so I don't think they are that obscure here. Plus when Jonathon Ross used to prevent Film (whatever the year was) he would almost always review Ghibli movies and he has a very good taste in movies.Kahunaburger said:^This.EBHughsThe1st said:Castle of Cagliostro.

Although, sadly even the more famous Miyazaki and Satoshi Kon movies are considered "obscure" outside of geek circles. People don't know what they're missing, man.
Personally, I don't have a favorite (unless you count Yojimbo as obscure) but two movies I saw recently that I really liked were Cave of Forgotten Dreams (3-D Werner Herzog documentary about cave paintings) and Pontypool (genuinely original zombie movie.)
That isn't really obscure just older.MrJKapowey said:I'm going to go for the Princess Bride. I am the only person in my generation who I know has seen it.
Isn't that the live-action of Higurashi?Lionsfan said:Well it'll be pretty obvious on here, but for me Spirited Away, most people I know have never even heard of it
Not sure I would refer to The Machinist as an early role, it was the movie before he played Batman. Pretty good movie though.Delta437 said:The Machinist starring Cristian Bale was an amazing movie. One of his early roles and probably one of his best since he went all out with his character, such as losing massive amounts of weight to sell the malnourished look in the film. I dont know if this is obscure enough though
have you tried his signature cup coffee?AgentNein said:I'm a huge huge David Lynch fan.
If you've got a tolerance for movies that don't make immediate sense, go pick up a copy of
Eraserhead
Blue Velvet
Mullholland Dr.
Inland Empire
Exactly, and I still know of ONE person that knows it ._.letterbomber223 said:1 - No it's the most popular studio ghibli. I'm told it's fucking horrible :|
Ontopic, sadly The Fifth Element, because the only person I know of that's heard of it was my English teacher from last year. I don't even know how that's possible.
2 - 5th element was a blockbuster!
It's one of the top rated films of all time in IMDB.-Adracko- said:Considering very few people I know have actually seen "Memento" I'm gonna have to go with it. Early Christopher Nolan FTW
