Pity it took 3 pages for someone to mention a real role playing game. My hat to you. The Cthulhu pen and paper is pretty brutal.Spookboy666 said:All Flesh Must Be Eaten, gotta love the Pen and Paper RPG. If you've never heard of this one look it up. It's about zombies and it's awesome.
It's also interesting to note that it came out originally in 1999, before the modern zombie craze started.
The Call of Cthulhu RPG is good too.
I'm a big pen and Paper Rpg guy, although I do love the Elder Scrolls and Fallout series.
I'm going to go with Pen and paper Shadowrun myself.
But, since I feel the thread intends games I'll also offer this...
Shadowrun on the genesis was amazing. Vampire Bloodlines is stupid good. Fallout 3 is...pretty good I guess if you're into that sort of thing though the first 2 are better by miles.KoToR is and will probably always be amazing. Morrowind is better than Oblivion. Xenogears was amazing for it's time, though I don't think it stood the test of time. You could write a thesis on what made Planescape Torment so amazing. Despite what I consider the worst rpg engine of all time I guess the BG games are good. FF6 crushes all other FF's. 7? Ha. The Etrian Oddysey games for the DS are some of the most brutal rpgs I've played since nethack.
Nethack.
Fuck, did I forget anything?
