Favorite Sci-fi space vessel/captain?

For me it would have to be the Battlestar Galactica with Admiral Adama.

The ship: It's a combination carrier and destroyers with the ability to launch wings of fighters as fast as they can be wheeled into the launch tubes while still throwing out a wall of flak shells.
And it looks like you'd expect an actual space battleship to look like. Well, in my mind anyway.

And the old man needs no justification. He is my favourite character in the whole series.
