I understand that people can have a phobia for just about anything. It doesn't even need to be something directly related to anything. Sometimes a trauma will manifest in a seeminlgy unrelated area that related to some weird connection in the brain. The difference between a phobia and a fetish is between negative and positive reaction. I can easily see how anything can be a fetish due to the odd nature of the mind.

From what I've seen, a fetish is usually an overblown aspect of what is normal, like power play (okay, relatively normal). Vore comes from being inside another being with more than just fingers, genitalia or tongue, and even becoming part of them if you go further down the line. BDSM is again powerplay, taken to a next level. same as s&m. some people just like pain. it makes adrenaline shoot through the veins, and that gives a kick I suppose.
Fluids/solids is basically done to be disgusting it just turns some people on.
Overweight is just a preference.
Why does everyone have to be skinny and flat? In some countries being fat is a luxury, and a show of wealth. Also Big bottoms and breasts do tickle a lot of people's fancy. Inflation I cannot really explain, but I suppose it's again from liking other body types than flat. Anal fisting is basically the same as fisting and anal combined. People do that if they want spice, and I've read it's incredibly arousing or something.

It all comes down to personal interest and personal preferment. And by saying that it's wrong disgusting or evil you deny some people a part of themselves. and now you know

There is no need to understand them, they are merely deviations from what is commonly accepted as erotic.

I do not see anything remotely sexual about the foot and the fact that it's the most common fetish perplexes me, but I can at least understand the psychology of anything that can be perceived as intimate. What constitutes as sexual is entirely subjective. You might define it has having to do with sexual organs but I would say thats very limiting. A lot of people get aroused from being touched in a certain way such as along the ribs or neck.

I once dated a girl who was really turned on by certain haircuts. And I find a lot of people get hot and bothered by biting. As for blood, I'd say that just stands out as strange because it isn't terribly common. If it freaks you out you don't have to part take in it if you don't want to. Really by nature a fetish can't be truly understood by anyone who doesn't have it. Fetishes are not chosen, and usually even those with them couldn't adequately explain why they have them. It's just a quirk of the human brain. The closest one can get is understanding fetishes in general, thereby coming to accept the existence of them in one's self or others.

Furies, as I am one myself, is less about sex and more about complete and total acceptance of your individual self compared to the real world. It doesn't matter what kind of furry you are. If your male playing a female, female to male, straight, gay, or any type of sexuality. The furry culture is one of acceptance and most furies are greeted equally everywhere by their brethren. Think of it like an international non-violent Gang. This acceptance is one of the reasons there is a large LGBT community. In fact being straight is almost a rarity in some circles of furrism. As for sex, its simply the next step is personal acceptance. Sex is thee most intimate thing a person can do with someone else. If your with a group of people for x number of time romantic feelings will happen. Its only natural the need for romance would want to flow into the furry persona or acceptance of individual self. Also look at all known "furry" or Anthromorphic cartoon characters in the world. Some are sexier then others. I bet many of you had some sort of fantasy involving a cartoon character. Krystal from star fox is a great example. Even if your not a furry. There is a high chance you find her attractive. Because she was designed with attractive human female qualities.

Furries have gotten alot of bad light because of that damn CSI episode and a few extreme's to the method. Every group tends to get a bad light because of the extremes. Look at guns and politics now.

Beastiality. I can understand this one completely. You have a 100% loyal companion that will love you unconditionally that will go at it when ever you want as much as you want. No need for a condom. You'll never get pregnant. Your in charge of the relationship. All you ahve to do is walk them, feed them, and bath them ones in awhile. In terms of K9's they can protect you better then most guys. They're "anatomy" actually enhances sex with their knot because the knot swells and pushes on a woman's g-spot. Also a misconception is that "zoos" are raping their animals. That's not true in most cases(Like furries there are extremes, the culture itself does have self imposed rules however). Animals if they don't want to do anything, you can't force them. I can wrap my head around a lot of 'strange' things. If it feels good and you want it I'd say charge in and do it. I personally don't get aroused by most of the fetishes many consider bizarre but I still understand most of them. That attitude had helped me quite well n the past to understand peoples point of view, some people trust me enough to come to me for advice on safe ways to do things and even assist them if required.
