Best not be shitting us spinwhiz.
The Escapist would not partner up with someone if they weren't 100% legit and we sure as heck wouldn't then tell our community about it.

This is the real deal folks, enjoy!
Not for nothing but my windows is going Weeee-ooo Weee-ooo Reported scam site.
Are you really 100% on this?

I'm still not sure if I am to put my main e-mail link or an alternative one. Nothing good can come out of survey sites. I especially don't want SPESCHUL OFFERS JUST FOR YOU to drop in my inbox every fifteen minutes.

Like most others, I signed on as it's the Escapist, but I really don't trust it. Originally filled out profile 100% but just removed mobile number. I don't see any way to link it to the Escapist and get a CD or enter the prize draw thing, and it asks lots of weird questions it really shouldn't. What type of car you have, household income, that sort of thing. Being 17 and not knowing i couldn't really answer those though, even if I wanted to.
Will leave it a day or 2 then check back.

Edit: Weird observation, but their Privacy policy and Terms of Service pages are the same thing, except they either say Privacy Policy or Terms of Service at the top.

I'll be holding off for a day or so then check back here to see how it turns out...

It's not that I don't trust the Escapist (It's my internet home), but it's just that this whole prospect is kinda new and scary...

I made an account then my natural suspicions got the better of me and i cancelled it. I may just wait a few days and see how other people react to it. Find it a bit wierd they don't delete my account when i leave though, as if I relog in it's apparently activated again.

Okay, answers are in:

How exactly will you know if we signed up? (cause I did)

You will get an email very shortly confirming your registration

Can I take the surveys without signing up? (don't care about money and prices just want to state my opinion)

No, you must sign up

So, the only way to get reward money, outside the US, is to have a MasterCard?

VGMarket pays you with a pre-paid mastercard full of money when you redeem

How do we get our (hopefully) pretty noises (Music CD)?

They will email everyone a link and a code to get the CD within 48 hours

When and how do I start? (taking surveys)

People should continue to login to their dashboard on VGMarket Surveys and they?ll see new opportunities as well as be alerted via email when a survey opportunity is available for them

How does this work for people under 18, as I am not eligible to handle credit card matters or such?

You have to be 13 or older to register. There is no credit card necessary, VGMarket never asks any payment info

Nice, but I don't understand why everyone needs a registration with a full name, address etc.

They need the registration info to know which surveys to send you and to provide their clients with quality assurances (it?s a market research requirement that survey-takers be registered users)

Now I'm not even being allowed back onto the webpage. I'm feeling either very stupid for
myself or my internet, which one is it?

May just be due to over-crowding. Please try again later.

When a survey is filled out, does it show up on our account instantly, or does it take time?

It will show up as ?pending? in the account and you?ll see the pending and earned rewards in your rewards balance

The registration information is kept completely secret, nobody will ever see and they do not under any circumstances sell that or give it away. The answers participants give to surveys belong to VGMarket clients but clients will not be given their names with the answers?so the answers participants give will never be traced back to them.

Why would we, a respected company and website in the gaming industry, direct you to a scam site? It doesn't make any sense to hurt our reputation.

Me too. Where's my music?

Also, it appears I get credits and not cold hard cash. I am disappointed.
Yeah I haven't gotten any music....
Escapist be you scamming me for information?!

EDIT: Ok not really scamming, but the site is being annoyingly slow for me....

Spinwhiz this might seem weird just a random user asking you this but a user said it was a scam and I am freaking out. I gave away personal details man I'm scared. I'm only 16 andmy family's pretty poor. Please I need an answer.

Don't worry, without credit card details, the most they can do is spam you endlessly.

Now I can quit my job and make money filling out surveys. Apparently I can also improve my penis length and lose weight in 5 easy steps.

At least I'll get a CD of Game music (I hope it's good)

Or... How about I do something different instead? Rather than open up my email account to a floodgate of spam so severe that I'm forced to abandon it to a new one (that's right, my email account that I have specifically to catch spam was getting too much spam to serve its purpose) while getting absolutely nothing in return but a bureaucratic runaround promising payment for my services if only I call the right phone number and/or email the right address and/or fill out the right form (none of which actually exist), I think I'll try not doing that.

Yes, I'm bitter at a past experience. Yes, my opinion of the Escapist has been adjusted accordingly to their involvement with an operation like this (worth mentioning: no, I don't plan to stop visiting the Escapist any time soon).
