If anyone other than The Escapist did this I would say it was a con (that's a complement btw)
Same, however because I trust the Escapist (don't let me down you guys!) I am currently in the middle of signing up

Calumon: Well, if you buy the new Kingdom Hearts, can you play it away from me? I'm trying to complete the first one! >.<
Watch out for the Waterway in Hallow Bastion, Cal. Took me forever to get out of there my first playthrough. Also, Birth by Sleep would be the first game to get if you have a list of games you're missing. It's so good.
Really? Because there is a lot of heavy hitters on this list.

God of War: Collection
God of War III
Heavy Rain
Demons Souls
Dragon Ball: Origins 2
Playstation Move
Dead Rising 2 (As of Tomorrow)
Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep.

I have quite a few heavy hitters... perhaps The Escapist can tell me more on these when they get them.

Calumon: I've only just entered Neverland. I can barely reach the shoulder buttons. :'(
You're getting Move?
Definitely save Demon's Souls for last. Because it will destroy you in every way. I still haven't beaten the first level, and I got it the week it came out. (Not that I've had the motivation to try very often, but still.) You could totally skip God of War Collection if you've played the first two games already. God of War III and Heavy Rain are great, but I'm gonna have to say I like BbS more. It might be because I'm a total fanboy, and because I'd been waiting for that game for three years or something, but still. So nice. It's also very fun, but kind of hard too, even on Standard mode...

I tend not to participate in surveys like this, am I the only one? I feel it's just a cheap way for companies to gather info on people. Sure, they must target their demographics and I can understand that, but then again..,

As for the winning probabilities, I'm pretty sure they are really low.
I'm not going to participate either, I hate random companies getting access to my home address and other information.

Okay, answers are in:

How exactly will you know if we signed up? (cause I did)

You will get an email very shortly confirming your registration

Can I take the surveys without signing up? (don't care about money and prices just want to state my opinion)

No, you must sign up

So, the only way to get reward money, outside the US, is to have a MasterCard?

VGMarket pays you with a pre-paid mastercard full of money when you redeem

How do we get our (hopefully) pretty noises (Music CD)?

They will email everyone a link and a code to get the CD within 48 hours

When and how do I start? (taking surveys)

People should continue to login to their dashboard on VGMarket Surveys and they?ll see new opportunities as well as be alerted via email when a survey opportunity is available for them

How does this work for people under 18, as I am not eligible to handle credit card matters or such?

You have to be 13 or older to register. There is no credit card necessary, VGMarket never asks any payment info

Nice, but I don't understand why everyone needs a registration with a full name, address etc.

They need the registration info to know which surveys to send you and to provide their clients with quality assurances (it?s a market research requirement that survey-takers be registered users)

Now I'm not even being allowed back onto the webpage. I'm feeling either very stupid for
myself or my internet, which one is it?

May just be due to over-crowding. Please try again later.

When a survey is filled out, does it show up on our account instantly, or does it take time?

It will show up as ?pending? in the account and you?ll see the pending and earned rewards in your rewards balance

The registration information is kept completely secret, nobody will ever see and they do not under any circumstances sell that or give it away. The answers participants give to surveys belong to VGMarket clients but clients will not be given their names with the answers?so the answers participants give will never be traced back to them.
Many thanks Spinwhiz, it might be a lil easier for other people if this post was added onto the original article so that it would be clearer for people when they read it for the first time.

Also shame on the people who do not trust the Escapist with who they partner with, shame with big pointy sticks.

I've sent over an email with your questions attached. I will post all the answers once I get them for you.
Spinwhiz this might seem weird just a random user asking you this but a user said it was a scam and I am freaking out. I gave away personal details man I'm scared. I'm only 16 andmy family's pretty poor. Please I need an answer.
Don't worry, without credit card details, the most they can do is spam you endlessly.
And do they?

I'd hate that to happen...
Nope, so far so good.

I will sign up as soon as my internet loads -_-

They seem to be doing work on the lines around here as I currently have 0.20 download speed.
I thought you lived near me for a moment, my Internet speed is making me want to kick puppies.
Damn you Hull and your one crappy service provider!

OT: I'll do it, just don't take my soul D< I'll probably do it tomorrow when the Interwebs should work a little better. Although I'd never actually win something, my luck is so. so bad.

Me too. Where's my music?

Also, it appears I get credits and not cold hard cash. I am disappointed.
I want my music!

Being out of work, this looked like a great deal, but having filled our 100% of the info, and not having qualified for anything makes me worry...give it a day or two then delete account, if nothing comes up.
This is what I'll do. I still don't trust it but hey, free stuff? even if it is to good to be true may as well try. If you've been on the internet at all every single thing you put into that site has probably already been plastered everywhere anyway. You don't have any privacy on the net.

Plus I trust the escapist not to screw me over, lets hope my trust isn't misplaced.

I just signed up, they better not call my cellphone unless I've won something big. And don't worry, you can't scam me. They probably mail us our music or something.

Signed up. I guess we'll know how legit this is when/if we get our musics.

I trust you, Escapist.

Would rather not get craptons of spam and have yet another entity of unknown morals get their grubby mitts on my details if it's all the same to you, whether you say they're legitimate or not.

Hmm. After filling out all the profiles 100% and receiving no survey invites, the site is now mysteriously offline.

"Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete, just like the survey reward redemption process."

The plot thickens.

I signed up because I'm willing to put some trust in The Escapist. Besides, I used to belong to something similar that was legit. It was for youth and I won $50 once.

But if I get surveys that send me to more surveys, or I have to text to the number on the screen (then cancel the subscription to JOKES EVERY DAY!!! that it gave me), or anything else scammy, I'm not cancelling the account. I mean, they undoubtedly have the information whether I cancel or not. But I would cancel my pub-club account and never visit the Escapist again.
