I tend to agree with you. The writing in the first two was a lot better than in Fallout 3. That said, I like playing Fallout 3 more because it doesn't fell as cumbersome and drawn out as the other two. Plus I love Oblivion.Sexy Guy said:I think the thing that the people who thought the previous enteries were superior to Fallout 3, is the witty, humrous, pop culture infused writing. The game's gameplay is more than likely to be that of Fallout 3, but to be honest, Fallout 3's writing really did'nt capture the humour and spirit of the other Two.mattttherman3 said:Personally, I think that more people like Fallout 3 than the other 2, I happen to be one of them, oh well, can't please everyone. So I hope it's like Fallout 3.
It's not the gameply they want changed.
That was about V13. Still not sure if that will be made though. Would be fonkin' awesome though if it was.henritje said:HOLY SHIT! I THOUGHT IT WAS IN DEVELOPMENT HELL! *smacks himself*
with all the law suits its a wonder this games is gonna be releasd
Oh Lord, Oh Lord, Oh Lord, there ain't no heaven..... Cookies for the reference.Kollega said:Borderlands.
I think you're getting New Vegas confused with V13 [http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Portalroject_V13], the Fallout MMO.henritje said:HOLY SHIT! I THOUGHT IT WAS IN DEVELOPMENT HELL! *smacks himself*

Probably still in the works. Unless that unanounced MMO that Bethesda accidentally disclosed in their court filings is TES5... which'd be weird...dochmbi said:Hey, what happened to Elder Scrolls V?
Part of the plot for Van Buren was a war between the NCR and the Brotherhood. Though, I guess at this point Tandi would be ~120 so she's probably dead.Tattaglia said:It looks like the NCR could be the new antagonists. The Enclave seems to be buttfucked on both sides of North America and the Super Mutants are scattered in groups. The Republic was increasingly expansive in Fallout 2, and with Tandi most likely dead a new dictator could take her position.
Uh oh spaghettioes!
Could be one of the West Coast Regulators (they're an entirely different kettle of fish from the ones in Fo3) Or an NCR Ranger.Daggermonkie said:i thought that new vegas wasnt part of the NCR because it was run by a gang lord and was hording resources?also the flag is tattered which could mean tht the NCR fell since fallout 2
also it looks very good and i cant wait to see who the guy in the red mask is!
The things most likely to change are the dialog and humor. New Vegas is likely to have much larger dialog trees, possibly running up against engine limitations. As for the humor, it will probably be darker and more subversive.Omikron009 said:Fallout 3 is without question my favourite game of all time. I really want to like New Vegas. I hope they don't change too much.
New Vegas was only mentioned once before, in Fallout 1, long before the NCR was even formed. We haven't heard anything about it since then.Daggermonkie said:i thought that new vegas wasnt part of the NCR because it was run by a gang lord and was hording resources?also the flag is tattered which could mean tht the NCR fell since fallout 2
