First Fallout: New Vegas Trailer Hits the Tubes

So much negativity for something so awesome, but then again this is the Internet where Bethesda is evil and Van Buren would've been the greatest game ever, like Duke Nukem Forever was going to be a shining beacon of FPS gameplay, right?
Personally, I liked Fallout 1 and 2 though I thought they had serious problems. I liked Fallout 3 even though it had serious problems that they worked hard to fix. They tried a narrative idea that didn't work out and they went in and changed it, I think that's worth mentioning. So given that Fallout New Vegas is being worked on by the original Fallout people and was given to them by Bethesda I see no way this can go wrong. And no, I'm not going to jump on the "blargh Obsidian is the suck" bandwagon.

I tend to agree with you. The writing in the first two was a lot better than in Fallout 3. That said, I like playing Fallout 3 more because it doesn't fell as cumbersome and drawn out as the other two. Plus I love Oblivion.Sexy Guy said:

It looks like the NCR could be the new antagonists. The Enclave seems to be buttfucked on both sides of North America and the Super Mutants are scattered in groups. The Republic was increasingly expansive in Fallout 2, and with Tandi most likely dead a new dictator could take her position.

i thought that new vegas wasnt part of the NCR because it was run by a gang lord and was hording resources?also the flag is tattered which could mean tht the NCR fell since fallout 2

This is kind of petty I guess, but really why do companies release trailers for a world wide audience using seasons? especially referencing seasons that aren't even used in some places (I don't even know what season "Fall" is suppose to be)...
If I see "Summer 2010" I think "waah? Summer's almost over! sweet" for about 3 seconds before common sense kicks in and I remember they are talking about US summer.
Why can't they use "Q3 2010"... that's universal, it means July-September 2010.
But other then that, looks pretty damn sweet, now if I could just work out when it's due out so I can plan some sort of excuse for why I can't go to work while it's taking over my life.

Part of the plot for Van Buren was a war between the NCR and the Brotherhood. Though, I guess at this point Tandi would be ~120 so she's probably dead.Tattaglia said:

Fallout 3 is without question my favourite game of all time. I really want to like New Vegas. I hope they don't change too much.
The things most likely to change are the dialog and humor. New Vegas is likely to have much larger dialog trees, possibly running up against engine limitations. As for the humor, it will probably be darker and more subversive.Omikron009 said:
