Making it more FPSish annoys me. I hope I'll still be able to play with a laptop track pad.

I'm really excited for this and the mention of collecting fish made my night. I am just that sad.

The one thing that bothers me is this: In a recent interview on Inside XBox, Mr. Hudson mentioned that a lot of elevators had been done away with. I had also heard, a lot earlier, that they'd actually sped them up. Now they're mentioning a little indication of how long you're going to be waiting?

I'm hoping they've done all three because I will be very dissapointed if I have to wait for half a minute, listening to small-talk between your crew mates while staring desperatley at a little indicator. :I

I knew it! I just KNEW the damn elevators would be in that article.
Those elevators...*shudder*

Its nice to see those they recognise what was wrong and are activly doing something to sort it. Ill give them props for that.

Will make the combat more fun too!

Huh? People didn't like the combat in the first game? Sure, it was a pain in the ass to play a sniper, just ended up using a pistol almost all the time and sure, using cover just meant you would be in some awkward place when the enemy npc came running up but... but...

*shrug* Yeah, I guess it did suck and even though it was most of the friggin game, somehow I still ended up playing it to the very end, getting intimate with a blue alien along the way.

Are they going to DRM Mass Effect 2 up like they did the first? That will mean I just wait till it is ridiculously cheap on Steam again ;)
Last time I checked it looked like they weren't putting any DRM on it this round

I want them to fix the Mako's drunk driving.
They have, you get a new vehicle and apparently this one drives way better than the first Mako

I wonder what Krogan Fighting Fish look like?

Well, you'd only be able to have that kind of fish, since one from their homeworld would eat everything else. That being said, I have to imagine it would look like what would happen if you took pure badass and turned it into a fish.

All this knew ME2 news makes me feel...what's the word?
Love?
Yeah, love that's it. Love for the world and all who inhabit it.
Basically what Christmas is supposed to make you feel like.

Could someone please explain to me why the combat in ME1 was so awful? Having beaten the game seven times, including on Insanity, I've always found it to be an absolute delight.

They could certainly afford to improve the "Warthog physics" Mako, though.

... even though magnetic acceleration = no combustion = no overheating. ...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Railgun

"Massive amounts of heat are created by the electricity flowing through the rails, as well as by the friction of the projectile leaving the device. The heat created by this friction itself can cause thermal expansion of the rails and projectile, further increasing the frictional heat. This causes three main problems: melting of equipment, decreased safety of personnel, and detection by enemy forces. As briefly discussed above, the stresses involved in firing this sort of device require an extremely heat-resistant material. Otherwise the rails, barrel, and all equipment attached would melt or be irreparably damaged."

So yes, the heat-clips make perfect sense.. only it sounds damn annoying! I loved that the gus had unlimited ammo, but were limited by overheating the way they were.

No where on here did you mention the "MAKO". Which drive like a ping-pong ball. I hope they fixed THAT!

What about the store? I had to spend half an hour, after every mission, selling all of my old gear just so that I wouldn't run out of space!

Hmm, maybe John Tynes needs to do his next "hard problem" on mini-games. Those damn things always seemed like a chore and making you do them so often was super annoying in almost any game.

Seriously, the inventory sucked, although I'm told the PC version redesigned it for the better. We'll see, I guess.

Any word on biotic powers? I found them to be really underwhelming in the first Mass Effect, with it all boiling down to buffs and ragdoll physics control (with like, one direct damage thingy). I'd really like to see more incentive to try that kind of character.

I can name 5 things off the top of my head I ahted abotu ME

1. Sloppy dailog, sure it was good and had great VAing but some of the sentences just dropped off abruptly. I also hope if you are skilled in it good/bad dialogue options will be displyed while you are talking so you can pick the path you want instead of guessing like in DA(hint hint)....

2.Lack of things to do on a planet in the moon buggy....need more things to shoot and better physics....(drones are cheap and can be sent everywhere!)

3.Mods for the Moon buggy...it lack depth....I was sad......buggy gets no love....

4.Weapons and armor could be more mod-able

5.Weapons and armor could be more modifiable.........................
=======================

ME is a good action game solid enough story ok charatcers great one liners and enough explosions to keep you in a in a blissfully happy seizure......

anyway....

I like FO3 for a more rich interface with the things to kill and such as ridiculously simple and half assed the codeing on FO3 was and all... bioshock is more on the level of Jericho(IE it moves you shoot it) than SS2...

URRRGGGHHH.

Damn you, games that I finally care about coming out!

I got MW2, but it was the only game I wanted.

I preordered Dante's Inferno before I realized how great Mass Effect 2 and Bioshock 2 will be.

Oh well, hopefully I get money for christmas.
