Does anyone that complain about fox actually watch fox? I watch fox everyday with my family and sometimes they are a little biased but they do show both sides of the story. I just don't get why you guys hate fox news so much.

NOW there is one thing that you have to know about fox news though. It's not real news but more of an opinionated debate about the government. They will normally just talk about politics and sometimes show some tidbits of other things. They try to be as moderate as possible and in all honesty there is nothing wrong with that.

You've clearly never been in the Religion and Politics forum.
I wonder if he'll avoid the trap door?

OT: I personally think all news is naturally biased. Fox is something else though... Am I ever glad that the Canadian equivalent of Fox (sun something or other) didn't get the rights to broadcast in Canada. Canada doesn't need a Fox network.
I thought Star/Sun whatever is still trying to get those rights? And I want them to. CTV is not exactly quality reporting.

Fox is as fair and rational as the Salem Witch Trials.
They immediately decide what they don't like then they rip it to shreds, claiming its evil and anyone who disagrees with them on the topic is evil.

Incidently I've had a seething hatred of them ever since they took a "fair and rational" look at Mass Effect's "Hardcore Alien Porn scenes".

Dumbasses.
LRR actually did a great video about that: http://loadingreadyrun.com/videos/view/302/Max-Effect
It's roflcopter funny, until you realize it's uncannily close to the actual, serious Fox News report http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKzF173GqTU, right down to the title banner at the bottom of the screen - at which point it's of course still funny but also makes me die a little inside. It's the same thing as with The Daily Show: huge fan, but seeing the blindingly obvious, sheer absurdity of what so many people take seriously makes me despair and lose faith in humanity.

The most annoying thing about Fox News is they constantly report "facts" procured entirely from the conservative thinktank known as Their Ass, then go out and poll "the American people" (read: Fox News audience) regarding their opinions on topics of which their entire body of knowledge comes directly from Fox News itself. It's like locking you in a tiny room for 20 years and then asking if you have claustrophobia - I didn't until you locked me in a tiny room for 20 years, thanks!

Dude your title is wrong, Fox's slogan is "Fair and Balanced", not rational. Not that they are any of those 3 adjectives but still.

I absolutely hate everything Fox stands for and promotes, but there's nothing I can do about it other than just *****, so I choose to disassociate myself from it as much as possible.

Really, all you can do is sit and laugh.
^^ and I'm not even an American. Though most Australian channels are just as bad :(

Most people who call Fox rabidly right-wing got their opinion from watching Glenn Beck one time and made up their minds for good. CNN is just as biased as Fox is, and MSNBC is 10x worse. Fox may have conservative-minded hosts, but at least when they have a debate, it's the host, 2 conservatives, and two left-wingers. Compare that to the other networks, which usually contain an all left-wing group, with maybe one conservative thrown in for the heck of it.

Fox News is conservative entertainment media. I say "entertainment" because they have a tendency to twist the truth or outright lie.

Bah, their slanderous 'report' on Mass Effect told me everything I needed to know about them. The network as a whole just makes me ill.

Fox is Fox. I never watch the news because it is all about scandals, law-suits, and death. Nothing I am interested in and Fox just decides to make what ever they want in those categories.

The Daily Show doesn't have a liberal bias. Nor any bias for that matter.

Living in the UK we get Sky news which i have always found to be fair and un-baised (unlike the bbc), Fox to me has allways been a scare mongering channel.

Maybe you should stop listening to what random people on the internet say about Fox, and actually watch it yourself a few times.

As someone who is forced to listen to the "Asylum News", I'd love nothing more than to rip the damn cable out of the way. But, my father is in that "phase" where Fox is the only thing he'll ever watch.
