Have you seen some of the rebel fighters who were looking for him? They were absolutely hell bent on killing him. I remember one news footage from when the Rebels took Tripoli was of a man holding an RPG. He pointed to it and said 'I'm saving this for Gaddafi.' They were out for blood and even if they had captured him, he probably be sentenced to execution regardless.orangeban said:Well, if this is true, then he should of gotten a proper trial and imprisonment.
Hopefully Libya can start sorting itself out now.
ALSO: Gaddafi had a golden gun? That's pretty pimp.
No one is bawling their eyes out or disputing that he shouldn't have been killed. Its also an invasion of the United Nation's human rights documents.Istvan said:40+ years of Stalinist tyranny, and the first thing people in the west do when he is killed is to bawl their eyes out that the ragged rebel militia didn't send him on a luxury holiday in Europe with all expenses paid while they figure out how many millions a year he would get to live in a mountain resort.
Briliant.
Someone apparently forgot to remind Gadaffi of that then didn't they. He had no problems slaughtering innocent civilians. He reaped what he sowed and the world is a better place for it.maddawg IAJI said:No one is bawling their eyes out or disputing that he shouldn't have been killed. You cannot take away someone's right to live without due process. That is a basic human right and had it not been done to Gaddafi and instead on someone good or someone you support, you'd be in an outrage.
not trolling.TheBobmus said:Not sure if trolling or serious... :/
Gaddafi has done a multitude of terrible things over the length of his time in power, hence his own people led this uprising.
Thus always to tyrants? I agree man got what he deserved if you believe yourself above the law, then you die outside the law.bladeofdarkness said:all i can say is Sic semper tyrannis
may Assad follow.
Yay sarcasm.Explicted said:Well i hope this is just another piece of propaganda, but if hes really dead then all i can say is that world lost another genius ruler, makes you wonder if theres any justice in this world if some people can screw up whole country just because that country ruler does not agree with them, or if they can profit from his death.
Well at least they will never get China and Russia is pretty safe too.
The man killed droves of his own citizens when they were peacefully protesting. As far as I'm concerned, death comes to tyrants.Undead Dragon King said:Well, this certainly doesn't help Libya's "democratic" system. Capturing and putting Gaddafi on trial would have been a great opportunity to prove to the world that Libya will be a better country than when it was under dictatorial rule. Instead, Gaddafi was killed, apparently while he was trying to surrender, according to The Telegraph.
As Commander Shepard would say: "Is that your idea of due process?"
Official story is that he was wounded while in the attempt to capture him, and he died because of his injuries. Guess we'll never know if it was true or not; his captors hated him enough to sneak a bullet into his brain while no one was watching, but the official story is hardly unlikely either.orangeban said:Well, if this is true, then he should of gotten a proper trial and imprisonment.
Ya...I know he killed people and the UN knew he killed people. That's kinda why they wanted to arrest him and try him as a war criminal. To say he had it coming doesn't make a difference. Our society is built on these basic human rights and if just ignore said rights whenever it is convenient to our cause, we become no better then Tyrant.ash-brewster said:Someone apparently forgot to remind Gadaffi of that then didn't they.
