Alan Wake - But its kinda my fault when it was first advertised it was said to be an open world. Then it took like 8 years to produce and it was episodic and it was still horrible animations, and the story was just dumb in my opinion.

Dragon Age 2- No game should rehash that many levels, the game didn't feel like Dragon Age it felt like a completely different game. The story was good how ever.

Finally...

Mass Effect 3- This rushed pos got me good. I'm not even talking about the endings. The endings aside there are so many bugs and issues such as crappy lip syncing (worse out of the series) and large swaths of foreshadowing in the story that is just too butchered to allow a game like this to be considered good. The large amount of half truths that Bioware portrayed and the horrible follow up support. Its almost like no one play tested the game or they did but got side tracked or said screw it. This is the last game I will ever preorder.

well i posted under the rules of the thread. i dont blame the game. but under the context of this i was unimpressed when i was younger too. But we are just gonna go in circles so i leave with this: ET was a horrible game and anyone who played it was dissapointed.

This generally doesn't happen to me. I don't buy my games new. I have decades of older, cheaper games to catch up on. The newest game I own (that I've actually gotten to start up) is [Prototype], and it's been fun.

However, I can remember one thing from a few years ago. Bionicle Heroes. I remember seeing that as a kid, and wanting it so badly! I watched that 10-minute gameplay video over and over and over again. I was so excited. Then, I got to play it with a friend of mine on his X-Box 360, and I was like "What the heck!? This is the worst game I have ever played! How come they downgraded so much!? Why are there so many inconsistencies with the actual Bionicle cannon!? Why does Matoro (I forget the spelling, white Toa dude) have the Sniper scope, when it should be Heuwki (Stone Toa, may have spelled his name wrong)!? Why are there vizorak and borak, and why are they so small, and why are all these ancient characters here, and why is Fenrak so huge, and why does shooting him hurt him now, and why did they remove all those cool sounds, and why isn't there a death penalty, and why are the Lego pieces all wrong, and where are these weapons coming from, with no Zamor Spheres, and why am I fighting Axon, and why are the characters able to rip their heads off and throw them around, and what the heck is up with this Piraka Playground, and...!?

Yeah. Needless to say, I was severely ticked off. That was pretty much the end of my interest in the Bionicle franchise, as well. I even remember this one guy in the development team asking for questions from the fans, and I asked him about all the ridiculous paradoxes, plotholes, and inconsistencies (using an actual Lego font, as I recall), as I was very well brushed-up on Bionicle cannon, being very ticked off with how bad they messed up countless aspects. I don't think he responded. I was wondering why these people would make a videogame based on something the obviously had extremely insufficient knowledge about. That was when I was a kid. Now, I am much older, and I see this (inexcusably) happens all the time. Hello, The Last Airbender.

This one right here. The first truly abysmal entry in the once-proud Metroid series, ruining the most prominent and powerful female character in gaming. And now there's been absolutely no word on anything Metroid since, so I guess it also spells the end of Metroid altogether.
I don't get this. So many people talk about how horrible Other M was, gameplay-wise and story-wise, and act like it's never happened before.

Don't get me wrong. Other M was a syphilitic pustule on the anus of gaming history, to be sure. But does no one remember Fusion? It was basically the exact same game in 2D form, with a computer instead of some twisted daddy-figure leading you around by the nose (Samus even NAMED the damn computer after him), under the same guy who created Other M.

So yeah, Other M sucked diseased donkey dick, but it really wasn't the first Metroid game to do so.

World of Warcraft.
No it's not a "This is most famous game so I don't like it" thing. I loved Warcraft III and had played Guild Wars so MMO wasn't new, but there was something I just didn't get drawn into when playing WoW, I even played Lotro and liked that one a lot.

To be fair, Fusion wasn't THAT bad. It still played like a 2D Metroid, the writing was far better and much more subtle than Other M's, and it didn't make Samus' character suddenly revolve around her lady parts.

Fusion may be one of the worst Metroid games, but it's still miles ahead of Other M - before Other M came along, a bad Metroid game was still a pretty good game... not anymore.

Fusion doesn't deserve to be lumped in with Other M like that. Yes, Samus was taking orders, but in that game, she was still talking like a competent bounty hunter, wasn't obsessing over any sort of daddy figure nor "baby", not wetting herself at the sight of Ridley, and disobeying orders when she didn't agree with them. Nothing like the doormat, whimpering Samus seen in Other M.

Even during the ending spiel, Samus was merely respectful towards Adam, never yearning for his approval. Fusion was the reason I was excited when I heard Other M was focusing on Samus' character.

If I didn't win hard enough with Too Human:

Level-5.... How did you f*ck this up.....? I'm asking solely in the name of science as I Would when presented with any physical impossibility.
they did make a sequel to white knight Chronicles. I heard it fixed a few things and gave your first game for free(both games on one disc)
They fixed almost unnoticeable things, like, for example, they sped up the battle system. What they didn't fix? Every error that was incredibly game breaking. Enemies still have a godly hit range (I've been hit cross map by a physical attack before...) and if you activate the White Knight and the other enemies run away, you'll lose the White Knight. Thanks Level-5....

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney.

I had no problem with any of the new characters, Apollo included. But they never let him come out from under Phoenix's shadow. The first case plays itself. The third case doesn't allow you to point out the most glaring contradiction in the whole series. And the fourth case is just absurd.

I was also disappointed with Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City was also a disappointment, but I should have bailed on that one as soon as I found out it didn't have splitscreen.

Hmm, lets see, well I bought X3 when I was younger because a review in Pc gamer gave it 91% or something, nowhere stating how anal and difficult it is. Spore, I wasn't looking forward as much as others, but was still let down. DMC2. SWTOR. Seriously its a great game, but I was waiting for soooo long for it, and I stopped after the free 30 days and I reached end level. Not quite what I was expecting. Da2 seemed so lazily made, I was expecting something similar to origins, but it was really short and just so samey. ME3 was sad because it was no way as good as 2. Operation Flashpoint was lame, it was like playing online but against loads of AIs. Crawling around a large field and then getting shot from somewhere. Which reminds me, BF3.

The WIi.

nope. sorry.

it will never beat this

not even close.
But Dead Island wasn't horrible.... Nor misleading....
I think the rest of the internet would like a word with you :p

That trailer made it out to be a tense survival game with good characters.

You got a fairly unpolished game that was basically borderlands with only zombies :p

It's got some fairly high review scores, and the game is fun.

The issue is, people took the word of a concept trailer, instead of a gameplay demonstration and

persona 3, i heard it had a good storyline, i was sorely mistaken,

especially the ending, i had the psp version and it was just uttery stupid, not because it was 'sad' no because it was awful. I didn't even know there was another part to it.

On a side note, fuuka must die.... seriously awful awful voice acting.

FFVII: Crisis Core. All the other FFVII tie-ins seemed lame, so I never investigated any of them. But when Crisis Core came out it seemed like all the reviewers and previously disenfranchised fans lost their shit. It was supposed to be a return to form for FFVII.
It turned out to be an idiotic story that tried to toss in too many weak references to FFVII instead of expanding on the world. It had an entertaining but repetitive gameplay style and a lot of anime faces and hand gestures.

Assassins Creed Revelations. I thought the story would be about Ezio on his final journey on his last legs being an old man and such, judging from the trailer. That awesome, awesome trailer.
