Most games I play on normal, but I definitely had to play STALKER on easy - and it still kicked my ass! One day I will finish it... one day.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3. After I beat Arcade Mode on normal twice I realized you can get a character's title on ANY difficulty, so why not just rush through on Very Easy? I haven't decided if I want to get any of the Very Hard titles yet.

Dragon Age 2. The combat was so goddamn repetitive and thoroughly unenjoyable after about hour 20 that I just wanted to get to the efing ending.

It helped, but I wish I never beat the game. Ending dragged the experience from mediocrity to sloppy mess.
I'm in full agreement with the above.

I've played three games on easy:
Dragon Age 2- Because the combat on hard wasn't 'hard', just tedious and too long.
Witcher 2- Pretty obvious why. Though I've beaten it on normal, too.
Minecraft- Fucking creepers!!

Fallout 3
Because if i hadn't put the difficulty down I probably wouldn't even have gotten out of vault 101. All the enimies in that game are freakin tough

I play Persona games on easy if I can. I play those games for story more than anything!
B-b-b-but! Easy is waaay too easy! Normal mode is fine!...though I can see why you just want to play it for the story :D

I admit to selecting easy mode on my first playthrough of MGS3. After that though, I cranked it up to difficult to see how well I did.

Halo 3. You want an unrealistic shooter where you can run right up and punch the aliens in the face until they die of face punch? Play on easy. That's where the fun is.
Now I've got to try that. If only it worked on multiplayer.

Bioshock, because I wasn't used to PC FPS, and I have a low "creepy" tolerance. I look back on some of the scary bits on YouTube from time to time and think to myself, "How did I not wet myself when I played this??"
I keep seeing Bioshock crop up in here. The thing with turning down the difficulty in Bioshock is you never learn the most important mechanical lesson the game teaces you: Electric Buck = I win. Always. I couldn't agree more about the creep factor though. I'm hoping they tone that down a bit with Infinite.

I always play every game on default difficulty. Not because I'm that good, but because it really increases the length of the game and it's replay value. (Truly great games I will replay on hard.)

Every FPS game out there...I'm seldom good enough to beat them on normal difficulty.

Games like God of War/Devil May Cry/Uncharted I tend to play on easy as I have more fun experiencing the story and cinematics than I do the actual gameplay.

Nope, I play none of 'em on easy. I always play on normal. It seems like the best of both worlds. You're not so unchallengened that the game might as well be a movie, but you don't have to have to reaction time of a paranoid neurotic to finish the game. That way you get to let the enviroment or aesthetics sink in a bit more.
In fact, I go as far to say that all games should have just one difficulty and if you can't take that or get bored at that difficulty, then the game just isn't for you. I mean, you don't get movies which have the option to cut out some depth or novels in which you can set the amount of characters involved. No, you just pick a different movie or novel.

Megaman 9.

If you grew up from Megaman 1 and played through, you could do hard, but platformers as popular games were before my time, and I'm not as intune with them as others.

But I usually play other games on hard the first time.

(I learned how to play Left 4 Dead on expert)

I very rarely play games on easy, normal seems to easy for me in most games nowadays. I did play DNF on easy once though because I was uber excited to play through it. (and for the record I loved it despite bad reviews)

just about every game ever.

screw you with your 'manly' "i never play on easy because i am so manly hurrr durrr."

I play games to screw around and have fun, therefore i play on easy whenever possible because dying is not fun, only when i truly find a game to be too easy i might, MIGHT, turn the difficulty up

and no, i don't care if you think that's a bad thing
