I was going to draw a picture of Female Duke, then I realized that it was just ending up as a hybrid Tifa/Lara with blonde hair.

Personality wise I don't necessarily see there being a lot of changes, just that when it comes to pass people will still call it sexist because it's "An unfair representation of Women" hilariously ignoring how unfair an example Duke is for Men.

Duchess Nukem? Not very catchy...
The name could theoretically stay Duke Nukem, wiki says Queen Elizabeth II is known as a Duke in some places.

If we are playing on Duke/Duchess are we upping the ridiculous to 11 and making her flat out nobility? Frilly dresses, likely fetishized but what else would you expect?

So what about the character would be different if they made Duke female // Now not the game, or the way it's played but how the character of Daisy would play different // Stealth? Who the game be in 3rd person to show off more of Daisy? Less big guns more kicking action?

Would came up with this question anyway? Sure Duke is a hound with a certain way with the ladies but why get up in arms about that one, small, and funny as Hell part of the game over the, also funny as Hell, violence?!?

A negative stereotypical male (ie Duke) is an odd parody of the action hero.

A negative stereotypical female does what exactly? Stay at home doing the dishes? Or, like you say, getting men to do her work for her?

Out of both of these characters, only one gender is being abused here... so I don't think it'd be a very good idea to try and expand on this, especially as the people doing so are male. If an all female company decide that they want to explore this territory, they're free to.
Not only would a company composed entirely of women be overtly sexist as well as illegal here in the States and most other Western nations, it would be an extremely sexist action for that hypothetical company made up of women only to design a video game wherein a woman would have dominance over men. You are also incorrect in your assertation that only ONE gender is being "abused", as men being portayed as subservient to a woman is not equality but superiority. There are also issues with what constitutes a so-called "negative stereotype" as far as women are concerned, because opinions on the subject do not only differ, but directly conflict and contradict.
Look at what you are saying though? A predominantly male company makes a game in which men are portrayed in a negative sterotype, but also a lot of women. However, it's wrong that a predominantly female company makes a game where a woman is made to be a negative stereotype, and also a lot of women? Seems hypocritical to me.

And only one gender is being abused... the other may be a caricature, or a negative stereotype, but those bitches ain't slappin' him.

I think that Gearbox is on to something. The problem is if anyone complained they'd say that she isn't being protrayed as a proper woman and is showing negative protrayals of women.
well, people are stupid anyway, it's not like you could fix that

I, for one, think that this idea that Pitchford gave could turn into something interesting
People are stupid? Compared to what? What is smarter than people and why haven't i heard of it?

So if Duke Nukem is an overy masculine person, will the female constrast, be extremly feminine?
Sure.
Haven't you ever known an extremely feminine girl who was really into herself? They aint too hard to find.

I would play Dutchess Nukem but I think if they really made it like that, the feminists would complain even more. A self centered woman who is never wrong and never has a hair out of place wouldn't exactly appease feminists.

Just stick to the first 3 episodes of black lagoon, she actually some character up later on.
Yes I fully agree with that. Revy is awesome and bad ass. Hmmmm a female Duke I see as a girly girl that has men flocking to her, like the Duke. She would still kick ass but complain about getting blood all over her then get her hair cut. XD

"The Duke Nukem games are not about denigrating women and promoting the male gender"

I like how Radical feminists always try to tie the two together as if men dont care at all about women.

Why do I have a feeling Duke just wrote "Because I am damnit" on that page and then walked away with the book anyway?

Anyway, on topic, I think if thre's a female Duke, it will only add to the Russian women are really female bears idea that people like to perpetuate.

<spoiler=Hell, she's be Rosie the Riveter>http://www.mogio.co.uk/resourcecenter/img/97/274-978442517.jpg

Ain't Bayonetta the female Duke Nukem? :p
This was my first thought as well, though perhaps that's due to not having played Bayonetta.

Yes, please. If Gearbox adds a few levels to the game where you play as Duke's female cousin, or something, it will make me a very happy man indeed.

No, I'm afraid you do need to compare. I could claim that people are gigantic, but the first logical question would be what people are gigantic relative to.

Daisy Nuke'em Cooking and Cleaning with a Fusion Powered Broom. Yes I can see it now. She's supposed to be the opposite so yeah, Duke stands for Hypermasculinity and she stands for Housewiferlinity. :D
