....Yay!!! /s

The least they can do is add something to the subtitle. Because future generations are gonna be confused on why there are THREE MW2s (Original, Remaster, and now this).

I can already see "We have MW2 at home" meme becoming a reality

Because we can't have nice things, the chip shortage is likely to continue for another 18 months at least.

This generation is beginning to look like the skip generation. Everyone will be mostly forced to skip this generation and Sony and Microsoft will likely develop upgraded machines (Either a Pro version or straight up jumping the generation) by the time 2024 rolls around.

Strangely enough, Graphics Card prices seems to be falling down

I'm kinda annoyed, because I spent around $1000 for a 3080, plus $600 on other stuff to upgrade along with it. Should've waited a bit longer :(

You should see how many games are just called Prince of Persia in the franchise. This lazy naming convention does not surprise me in the slightest as too many AAA companies are constantly guilty of this. Even if the reboot is good or decent, only to get rebooted again.

Activsion can still fuck off with their franchise. I wonder if they're gonna pull a we're "apolitical" bullshit this time.

Well at least someone has managed to snatch those criminally neglected properties off the alcoholic gambling parent more interested in NFTs than making games now.
Wow, these studio and company acquisitions has been insane lately! The only thing that would impress me is if Ubisoft or EA bought off each other

Another Modern Warfare 2?
Do they not have better things to do?
Go on, fly away and shoo!
Don't want to waste my time with you.

But perhaps I'm being such a bore.
2 and 2 makes Modern 4.
Oh wait a minute, is this 5?
How long's this series been alive?

From World War Two to that Black Ops?
But Ghosts went on the chopping block.
Liked Infinite, why did it stop?
Why are some series meanly dropped?

Well, I guess we have Mod. Warfare Two.
Some will pout and call it poo.
I know this series, many rue.
But on other hand, so many wooed.

So go on then, release the game.
From chastisement I shall refrain.
But sometimes this series boggles brain.
For reasons I need not explain.

Is Square Enix pulling a Konami? Distancing themselves from the video game industry to focus on tangentially related tech?

Also: wow, Embracer Group is getting some studios with some clout behind them. I've always thought of Embracer(or at least when they were known as Nordic Games) as an IP hog for bargain bin games. You know, titles that might be someone's favourite but has never come across as being teh best things evar! due to a smaller scope and/or budget.

Tomb Raider and Deus Ex though? Those are bonafide AAA titles.

“And so it begins again,” said Reddit user Mykeprime in response to Roman’s Reddit post about his broken TV. “This is the content I’ve been waiting for,” replied another.
*sigh* Something about a journalist quoting a reddit post.... Am I old? Is that the problem?

From the "things nobody asked for nor wanted" department....
This game called Arclight Rumble.
It looks like they have bumbled.
The devs have stumbled, people grumbled,
What am I to do?

I really just want Warcraft IV.
I know that's asking for much more.
But this game looks like such a bore,
You've failed me to woo.

But with others, gain some traction?
I guess there are five factions.
But from IP, this subtraction!
Afraid my eyes are not yet glued.

I guess just say "whatever."
There's other games be better.
I'm afraid I'm not yet tethered.
Go on, away, shoo!

(In case you want the TL, DR version, my actual thoughts can be summed up as "meh," but if I'm tearing in MW2, it's fair that this gets the same treatment.)

Apparently. On the one hand I get it, because I inherently understand what a scam so much of modern business is, but on the other hand I can't get past that SE basically decided that these huge franchises cost more to have than to develop.

I mean... Marvel games are considered not worth it. Marvel, a name that can't help shitting money around in every other medium. I still can't get over that Marve's Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy are considered failures.

Avengers is a failure, and GotG is just decent, but wasted potential on the gameplay department. Once the latter played, there is not much reason to go back to it. Avengers gameplay is so mediocre, monotonous, and so full of scummy DLC, Microtransactions, and corporate whoring. It is disgusting. You know something is wrong when Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 plays and looks so much better. It's the best of the Marvel characters looking beautiful and comic book accurate since Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

GotG is a YouTube and Twitch Streaming nightmare due to all of the licensed songs, because there is no point watching a playthrough with all the music cut off. Of course, SE has been doing the "sold below expectations" griff since 2013.
