So the last hope of a Bloodborne remake/remaster is now dead. Rip
More on what BP had been working on:

So yeah we will never get a Bloodborne Remake due to Sony being assholes. And my small hopes for Demon's Souls Remake PC port also has been crushed. Which is weird, because wasn't it part of the Nvidia leak a while back?

Those leaks are nonsense anyway.

Blue Point was never working on Bloodborne, they were shuttered because after Demon's Souls Sony put them on a God of War Live service that wasn't working and got cancelled. Thus the studio shutting down. Entirely Sony's fault for sure, but Bloodborne's lack of a Remaster has nothing to do with any of that.

Bloodborne not getting a Remaster is likely because Sony sees the game as still playable as the PS5 plays all Ps4 games so there is no purpose to a remaster that they still actively sell and is playable on their current system. Additionally Sony might own the IP, FromSoft likely still has the source code and would have to want to dedicate the resources to port the game and or remaster it.

People need to let Bloodborne go, it's so weird that the same bunch of gamers will complain that there are too many Remasters and Remakes but then beg for Bloodborne at every fucking showcase.

People love Remasters and Remakes and the only people salty about it are only salty because THEIR game isn't getting a Remaster/Remake whatever.

Let Bloodborne just be the great classic it is and move on. Fuck's sakes.

Well like, that’s your opinion, man.

They remastered Horizon, TLoU1 (on PS4 and later PS5) and 2, numerous others. FROM has stated they’d be fully on board but it’s not up to them. With its frame pacing issues Bloodborne would benefit from a proper remaster. The kicker is, once the PC homebrew port gets close to being fully playable they’ll probably strike it down like Nintendo.

Fair enough. I should've checked the "sources".

I guess PS4 games being playable on PS5 is a good compromise if we aren't getting Bloodborne Remaster. Actually, it's kind of miracle that it has that feature, considering how harder it seems to be getting to access and play classic games.

I mean we don't know if PS6 or 7 will support PS4 games, and by then PS4/5 concoles may be harder to find. Phyiscal discs may turn into rare items, or the digital storefront may no longer feature Bloodborne in their catalogs, or the storefront might shut down altogher. And then they "might" eventually come back as some sort of emulation.

That would mess up the game's multiplayer now, wouldn't it?

Have people on PS5 with 60fps playing against players on PS4 with 30fps.
This is probably a good reason as well. Though in theory you could put the ps5 version on separate servers so that only ps5 players meet each other. Frankly I dont think Bloodborne would get a remaster until the ps4 version is delisted.

Look, I fucking hate CS lootbox system too, but you can't be serious Valve is letting children gamble; Because CS is rated M game with Steam parental controls, so their access to the game strictly falls on supervision of the parents/guardian.

Also, these skins technically have no real-world value, but the users have created in-game economy for how rare these skins are.

BTW, You could've easily go after Blizzard, Activision, or EA, but I guess you decided to pick an easy target.

There is no way you are winning this, but I guess everyone will get a laugh out of you making a fool out of yourself

Didn't valve literally just win a lawsuit too?

That's all well and good but we both know that companies are exploiting people through gambling mechanics, whether they be children or adults and it's just vile. Something should be done about it.

I for one hope that this will be a successful start to a wider campaign against these vile practices, I don't care who gets sued first as the rest will fall like dominoes once a precedent is set.

Fuck loot boxes, fuck gacha, fucking RNG gambling bullshit.

I agree. But to quote Sinead O'Connor, fight the real enemy.

I agree! The loot box/gacha mechanics sickens me. But there are several things I have issues with her statement itself:

1. Why go for Valve when there are plenty of other game franchines/publishers that does the same? EA, for example, is way more predatory when it gomes to monetization in FC/Madden series; Which, btw, is a lootbox + P2W in those games
2. She says Valve is "letting children and adults illegally gamble". But isn't on the parents to control what games their children can access? And for adults, it's on them to have self-control on this crap
3. She also doesn't specify the game where the lootbox gambling is happening; She makes it sound like Valve only makes gambling games.

Then again, she is an AG so I'm sure she can come up with a stronger claim in the lawsuit
