"Now we have a threesome."

Sarah burst out laughing at this, "I'm not that kinda girl Sargent" she said around a giggle.

"Certainly is a good game Murphy, although I haven't watched much Baseball myself. You interested in any other sports?"

"I'm actually more into the NFL, i mostly watched Baseball with friends, Johnny loved it, even tried going pro, he never could get out of the minors though"

"Now we have a threesome." Murphy remarked with laughter as he saw Sarah's arm go around Everett. It was at that moment that Sarah burst out into a fit of laughter, which almost caused Everett to lose his seating position. Everett had to agree that it was humourous given the situation, letting out a brief laugh.

"I'm not that kinda girl Sergeant." Sarah said whilst giggling.

"Oh really now, that is interesting. Must say though, that is a nice laugh you have Sarah." Everett remarked with a smile, hoping she'd like the compliment.

"I'm actually more into the NFL, I mostly watched Baseball with friends, Johnny loved it, even tried going pro, he never could get out of the minors though." Sarah said in response to the question. It was then Murphy's turn.

"Yeah, I'll occasionally watch soccer when I get a chance. What about you?"

"Me personally, I don't mind watching tennis and maybe even a ice hockey from time to time. I do enjoy others, it mostly depends on what has my interesting going at the time; you could say I'm flexible, but I'm not what you'd call an avid sports fan."

Kenneth rose another eyebrow at the three with their comments. Vaguely interested, he heard over Murphy's obnoxiously loud TV the talk about sports.

I personally wouldn't mind some Ice Hockey right about now... Baseball reminds me too much of NASCAR with the diamond and all...

As Kenneth mused to himself, he started waning off into memory.

During the Reaper War

"Another LEFT TURN!" exclaimed a female next to Kenneth. He rolled his eyes and chuckled alot with the rest of the members of the Biotic Company.

"Honestly! Its just a waste of gas seeing that stuff happen, driving in a circle." she said.

"Kenneth, how did someone as broody as you get someone so energetic?"

"Luck." Kenneth smirked, lowering his head.

The woman returned back to her seat besides Kenneth before continuing. "He's not broody." she defending him. "Kenny's just reserved."

"Thanks Amy."

While lost in memory, Kenneth let out a chuckle, mostly to himself.

SSG Murphy

Murphy glanced over to Everett and burst out laughing. The situation was just too funny to resist it. Two Marines vying for a female Spartan's attention, it didn't get much better than that.

"Well, if you're not that kind of girl, you're going to have to pick one of us." He said jokingly. "And by the way, you don't have to call me Sergeant. I'm just Murphy."

Murphy looked back to the game, it was not going well for the Rangers, who had just had two errors in a row.

"Speaking of ice hockey, I used to watch ice skating as a kid and thought it was awesome. But I never worked up the nerve to actually take lessons. Probably a good thing too."

"Well, if you're not that kind of girl, you're going to have to pick one of us." He said jokingly.

Sarah ponder this a moment, mostly trying to come up with something absurd to say "then we shall hold a great race for my hand. a great race, of rubber duckys! the kind that squeak when you squeeze em" was what she finally came up with, the selling point being the totally serous expression on her face.

"And by the way, you don't have to call me Sergeant. I'm just Murphy."
"just Sarah will do for me then, that goes for you to Everett" Sarah said with a grin

Wandering around the ship, Sierra Crown found her way to the lounge where the group were...flitting around flirting was the closest thing she could come up with. She set her Grindell on the ground, barely making a sound as it was leaned against the wall.

"Well, if you're not that kind of girl, you're going to have to pick one of us."

Walking up behind the three on the couch, she swiftly grabbed the two on the outer edge and slammed all three heads together.

"Or pick neither of you, nothing much attractive about either of you to me, don't know what this girl you're trying to corrupt thinks, but Chagerben," She walked around to the side and saw that the Spartan was, in fact, not under her command,"Sorry miss, thought you were someone else."

She walked around to a chair and sat on the arm, waiting for her squad to finish up their pre-mission suit-ups, her own get-up was pretty simple, demolitions was like that.

"So,"The lieutenant began,"What was it everyone was talking about before I busted your noggins and mistook you were a part of my squad?"

Kenneth snapped out of his trip down memory lane when Sierra Crown bonked Murphy, Everett and Sarah's heads together as he looked over. Despite a little mental chuckled he had at the Murphy and Sarah's just desserts, it was rather rash and rude for someone to do that, regardless of rank.

Standing up and walking over to the now group of four, Kenneth said to Sierra.

"With all due respect ma'am, but was that completely necessary?"

"no, it wasn't and 'oh i thought you where some one else' is hardly an excuse" Sarah said, rubbing the sides of her head

Well, beyond getting sweet justice for what you were doing earlier Kenneth mentally thought before saying. "Exactly." he grunted.

"Welcome to the Marines girl, I don't allow anything amounting with what you were doing to go on with my squad, slows everyone down and that's when you get killed by a Grunt that you didn't see running up behind you all with grenades stuck to his hands, screaming out from behind that ventilator they wear. If it makes you feel better, I apologize Spartan."

Kenneth's eyes flared alittle, seeing that he was ignored. Despite being a loner since the end of the Reaper War, he still knew how talk with others and try to calm situations.

"Relax alittle Lieutenant, alittle banter here and there won't hurt anybody. If they need to get serious, then they will get serious. I can vouch for Everett and the other two."

Everett could still feel the slight ringing sensation in his head after Sierra Crown brought his, Sarah's and Murphy's together with a thud. He felt like complaining to the Lieutenant, but it seems as though someone else had that covered in a manner of speaking.

"Relax a little Lieutenant, a a little banter here and there won't hurt anybody. If they need to get serious, then they will get serious. I can vouch of Everett and the other two." Kenneth remarked as he entered the conversation, speaking in a calm and concise manner.

"Thats just was I was going to say Kenneth, thank you by the way. I'll make a note to vouch for you in the future, should the need arise." Everett remarked, gently rubbing the back of his neck to alleviate some of the pain. He then turned to Lieutenant Crown.

"You see Lieutenant, we were just having a bit of harmless fun and banter amongst colleagues during some downtime. Got a problem with that?" Everett said, speaking in a non-threatening manner.

"Maybe, but it never hurts to nip it in the bud before it gets beyond that. That kind of banter has the the feel to need to crop up again at some point half the time anyways."

Crown shifted down into the chair proper, and leaned back as much as the shotgun strapped to her back allowed, keeping note of where her Grindell had been set, she had a feeling they'd need every trick they could use once they set down planetside, wherever it was they were going.

"You see Lieutenant, we were just having a bit of harmless fun and banter amongst colleagues during some downtime. Got a problem with that?"

"Reminds me of when I was a private, Sergeant, that tone,"She smiled a bit, eyes looking into the past for a heartbeat before looking back at him.

Recon armor, Sergeant, the Rookie needs someone that's seen combat sniping, not just training.

"I've got a kid in my squad, green as can be, hasn't even seen real combat yet. But he's one of the best damn shots I've ever seen with that rifle you guys carry around. Care to help him out a bit when we hit Ronokis?"

"Reminds me of when I was a private, Sergeant, that tone." Sierra remarked, smiling soon after, as if she was remembering a better time. The subject of conversation soon changed with her gaze focused on Everett.

"I've got a kid in my squad, green as can be, hasn't even seen real combat yet. But he's one of the best damn shots I've ever seen with that rifle you guys carry around. Care to help him out a bit when we hit Ronokis?" This request caused him to stop and think for a moment, pondering what would be the right response. He had helped train sharpshooters before, but they had usually seen at least one or two live fire missions.

"So, in essence, we have a real greenhorn aboard, that will make for an interesting series of events. But, I can't see a reason as to why not; after all, isn't it a soldiers duty to help those in need. Plus, it would be beneficial having another sharpshooter on the team. If he is as good as you say he is, then I'll assist in his training Lieutenant Crown."

"If he is as good as you say he is, then I'll assist in his training Lieutenant Crown."

"Good, that's all I asked for. But just so you know, he's still a recruit, with all that entails, and you can bet on his accuracy, it's one of the reasons he got here before any combat experience. He's a bit uneasy about it though, so don't push him, if you can help that."

Crown then stood and walked back to her weapon leaning against the wall. Hefting it on her shoulder again, the Grindell weighed her down as usual, but she was used to it.

"I'll send him with you when we start this mission we're apparently going on."

She left the group then, nodding at all of them, especially the Citadel Human, he'd gotten a bit hard around the eyes when she'd kept speaking to the Spartan.

Arriving back at the armory, most of her squad was sitting around talking about these new Citadel races and Leppy was of course talking about their software he'd found. The only one not sitting around talking was the Rookie Gaffer. She pulled him aside and told him to break off from the rest of the group when they hit down, or before depending on how the Captain wanted to do this. He was to go with the Sergeant she'd talked to earlier. After a few meager protests, he finished his shooting and stocked up on ammo and everything that he might need down there.

Kenneth looked over and gave a curt nod, still keeping his cool demeanor.

"Maybe, but it never hurts to nip it in the bud before it gets beyond that. That kind of banter has the the feel to need to crop up again at some point half the time anyways."

Kenneth shrugged at the comment; it really wasn't an issue with the Biotic Company back during the Reaper War. They all knew what to do to survive and Kenneth originally kept a rather fair hold on rest.

She left the group then, nodding at all of them, especially the Citadel Human, he'd gotten a bit hard around the eyes when she'd kept speaking to the Spartan.

"[sub]Well she seems to be a bag of joy...[/sub]" Kenneth mumbled to himself, as he kept playing around with his dogtags in a circle around his right pointer finger. If anybody was looking close enough, there was three dogtags. One for body recovery, one to bury with the body, and another one that didn't seem to follow with the other two.

SSG Murphy

Though Murphy had remained silent during the encounter with Lt. Crown, he made a small move and drew a folding combat knife as soon as Crown's hand touched his head. While the group was having its conversation, Murphy had sat still, focusing on his breathing, taking himself out of "kill mode". Years of being constantly deployed and often operating alone had taught him to become an animal when need be. The trick was returning to being a human.

As Crown left, he rose and turned the volume back to an acceptable level, silently folding the knife and placing it back in his waistband. He caught Kenneth's eye as he watched the subtle move. On the Lieutenant's finger was a chain with three dog tags on it. Murphy nodded almost imperceptibly, voicing what would probably never be spoken,

"We're all fucked up in some way."

Everyone on the ship had lost something to someone. And none of them could get it back, no matter how hard they tried.

"Rubber duckies?" He exclaimed, turning to Sarah. "What about just this instead?" and with that he simply leaned over the sofa and kissed her.

Sarah eeped as Murphy kissed her, her face turning red, she thought briefly about stopping him but it was a good kiss. even after the kiss her face was still red, she'd kissed him in jest, to play along with him ribbing the guy from Citadel. she couldn't tell if they where still carrying the joke or not, she calmed after a moment though and smirked at Murphy "I'd be careful if i where you, a kiss like that, a girl might think you where genuinely interested in her" Sarah started then smirked "and not only am i a Spartan, i also haven't gotten laid since i joined the service, so there's all that 'pent up energy' to consider" by this point she'd totally forgotten Kenneth was even in the room

Murphy nodded almost imperceptibly, voicing what would probably never be spoken,

Kenneth let out a smirk on his face. Not the 'I'm going to kill you'-smirk, but something close enough to a smile that Kenneth would have on his usually stoic face.

"Rubber duckies?" He exclaimed, turning to Sarah. "What about just this instead?" and with that he simply leaned over the sofa and kissed her.

Kenneth let out another chuckle at the two's antics. The fact that he was actually showing some bit of emotion off the battlefield was a rare sight indeed. He walked back over to the reading station saying to Sarah and Murphy.

"Get a room you two." he said in his usual cool demeanor.

"Rubber duckies?" Murphy exclaimed rhetorically, turning to Sarah. "What about just this instead?" He then proceeded to give Sarah another kiss. This caused the Spartan's face to go a very bright shade of red.

"I'd be careful if I were you, a kiss like that, a girl might think you were genuinely interested in her." Sarah began saying, showing a smirk halfway through. "And not only am I a Spartan, I also haven't gotten laid since I joined the service, so there's all that 'pent up energy' to consider." It was at this point that Kenneth chuckled at the Murphy and Sarah's antics, which looked like the first bit of emotion he showed off battlefield for a while.

"Get a room you two." He then said in his usual cool demeanor. Everett began laughing as well, finding this little moment to be quite a delight to enjoy, although he did feel a little peeved that he didn't get a little kiss as well from Sarah; then again, that plan was mostly Murphy's idea anyway.

"For the most part I agree with you Kenneth about these two getting a room, then again, as it was before, this is all just a bit of harmless fun between friends." Everett remarked, slowing getting ahold of his laughter and calming down.

"Really now Sarah, guess that explains why you have so much spirit about you, you just need a means to release the energy. I'd be willing to assist in any sort of manner, that is if you wanted me to." He said in a kind hearted manner.
