I liked the last two games a lot.QuickDEMOL1SHER said:From what I have seen in this forum, and in the world around me, hating the Halo series (Or one of the games in particular) has become the new cool thing to do. It seems like people just insult Halo just so they can say "I insulted Halo".

Exactly my point. As a game, it works well, and there is quite a lot to try out, with the different combinations of weapons and stuff, and the forge mode is great when you create some fun maps to play with your friends. But I would never choose it to be the one game you could not live without.miracleofsound said:But Halo 3 was a blast and had good shooting mechanics.
ODST had a very pretty world and a nice, dark atmosphere. Loved the zoo level.
Halo 3 online is pure fun with buddies, pure hell with random people.
All in all I do feel Halo is critically over-rated but it is still a very fun, solid shooter.
Right... so you would beat up a 10 year old for other games? Also, you need to be better with your insults; for your information sucking has two different meanings.llew said:Halo = over-rated, yes halo:ce was good, hal2 was OK, halo 3 sucked men harder than a gay guy in a gay bar and ODST is OK. none of them are so amazing i would beat up a 10yr old for it
Yahtzee himself said it was an alright FPS.orangebandguy said:Yes, they do it. I'm willing to bet that most of the views in this thread are from people like that.
I suppose Yahtzee provides a rallying point for them, but I dodn't really enjoy Halo because the covenant things look childish to me, but smashing things with an impact hammer can be damn fun.
No, nuh-uh. You have to justify statements like that. You can't hate something before it comes out, because you've never played it.ethaninja said:Yep. But I actually always hated Halo LONG before it came out...
But he didn't say it was 10 out 10 like most other critics and reviewers at the time. His words have been twisted somewhat like all inspirational figures. I suppose everyone can twist something into what they want it to mean.Neosage said:Yahtzee himself said it was an alright FPS.orangebandguy said:Yes, they do it. I know what you mean. It seems that declaring that you supposedly hate something which is very popular makes you edgy and cool, in their minds.QuickDEMOL1SHER said:From what I have seen in this forum, and in the world around me, hating the Halo series (Or one of the games in particular) has become the new cool thing to do. yeah man! that is really weird and destroyed the atmosphere for me.Snotnarok said:The enemies mostly bugged me, wearing brightly colored armor, the midgets screaming and saying cheesy lines as you gun them down felt like mowing down the Muppets.
