Fine. I've reported you for straying away from the discussion, and doing the same thing someone else did earlier in the topic.Zeeky_Santos said:1. you just got reported because of a low content post. 2. you just got reported in order to prove a point that the report button is not nearly as serious as it may sound, and the fact that you have never used it in 400 posts scares me.Spinozaad said:No. Never.
Ah no worries though they may know of us but they will never expect us.Zeeky_Santos said:Sh, we aren't supposed to let them know beforehand.LeonLethality said:I report people a hell of a lot, after all I am in the inquisition.
It's a good system, I agree, but I'm just saying that if you click the report button on something not needed then you make it so that it only takes one more person to click it to cause more congestion.Furburt said:Well, thankfully it doesn't usually work that way. Because it takes 2 reports for it even to show up on the mod queue, a single person disagreeing with another won't even register, it would take two people disagreeing with it. Now, this is just speculation, but I'd imagine if two or more users find a post offensive, as opposed to one, it's more likely to be something that is actually offensive.someboredguy said:As many people have said before, I only report what needs to be reported. None of this "Report because they don't agree" bollocks, they only cause congestion in the moderation queue-thingy.
It's a good system.
Ok.Awesome..I guess I don't take this whole thing as seriously as you guys lol..Like I said when I first posted, I don't feel the need to get my panties in a bunch about whatever someone else has written.Zeeky_Santos said:We have no place for those without any feeling of social responsibility here. To me it is a "personal integrity" thing but if others do it, good luck to them.
That been the case - how do they stop people going through reporting every single post no matter the content? I'd assume that the mods (or at least *someone* higher up) must be able to see who reports who. Or is there a limit to the amount of reports I can make in a given amount of time?Zeeky_Santos said:We have no place for those without any feeling of social responsibility here. Sooo... what *is* stopping me from reporting every single post in this thread and flooding the queue? I guess I could even make a second account and report them all twice so they get flagged as offensive.Zeeky_Santos said:The Mods don't know who gets reported by who, they have a list called the Mod Que. If a post is reported 2 or more times the post gets put on that list and prioritised based on the number of reports. If someone goes and reports ever post he sees, it's only gonna get on the list if another person reports the same stuff. Like Furburt said, (it was furburt, right?) if it gets reported 1 time, it doesn't mean it's offensive, but if it happens more than that it's worth taking a look at.
