Being 23, I don't worry about it. I also live in a college town, so they don't even bother carding anyone as long as they look college age or older. I also used to work at my local Gamestop, so even when I was under the age limit for mature games, I still got them anyway.

However, I'm happy to hear that they're actually enforcing it in places. No offense to anyone in this thread, but I have a much better time online when my teammate on Gears 2 isn't a 13 year old kid.

Ask my parents to get it for me. I usually spot them the cash, so they normally agree.

This.

The ratings and age limits exist for a reason. Nothing against the original poster, but the majority of that age group isn't really mature enough to play them. Until we have a reliable standardized "maturity test", age is the best that we can go on.

That said, ratings are really parental advisories and parents can choose to buy them for their children. So ask your parents. If they don't want to you to play them, then I'd suggest you respect their wishes until you pay rent, utility, and communication bills.

Other than that, wait a year.

non taken, but i do agree that having opponents and team mates years younger than you when they shouldnt be is annoying.

Hmm, maybe they're just a lot laxer when it comes to age ratings for games around here, as I was able to purchase Gears of War when I was sixteen.
I've always been tall, but I don't think I looked eighteen then.

What the? ID? Are you serious?

Man, I dont even take my ID (17 Also by the way).
The last time I went to buy a game, I did get asked for ID though. So I gave him a nice-big middle finger and said "Good enough?" left the money on the counter and left.

So yea, just do the same and

SCREW THE RULES! I HAVE MONEY!

[small] cookies for whoever got that [/small]

I would just recommend steam or parents. That's how I got games when I was underage.

In Canada,
a: No one actually cares,
b: M ratings mean 17+. And I'm 17. So although I'm "underage", I just show ID and get whatever I want.
