So you want to attach a 3 foot bat to a gun/rifle? Okay, so maybe a machete to a rifle? But rifles weight isn't the issue, but it's bulk. Though they look cool in movies, it is far to awkward to swing a rifle with a bayonet in front of it at multiple targets. Might as well use them separately.icyneesan said:Looks fun, will enjoy playing this with some friends. Now hopefully they do something about that god awful HUD
Also if they wanna focus on melee combat there should be a way to attach your knife/melee weapon to your gun.
We don't know how much C4 is available. We already know guns are on a short supply, and you don't need to add a brick of C4 for it to do dmg to a human body. Maybe it is something to use on "bosses" or when **** hits the fan.cydvis said:you can craft electric machetes and explosive C4 knives but it's hard to find or use a gun? really ?
Well...realism...really? I know what you guys want, but it requires to never be touched or you get a game over after a zombie scratch. Yeah, that would be a long lasting game. What you guys are asking for is nothing more than a great downloadable title worth $15usd with a fixed amount of time before it's game over.JokerboyJordan said:I just posted what I felt about this in a different thread >_<Sober Thal said:Yep. Damn you all, I hope you get infected with the T virus!
Oh well, the bastard child of Left 4 Dead and Dead Rising will have some fans I guess.
EDIT: Why can't I get a bastard child of Amnesia and Resident Evil???
However, maybe I got you wrong. Maybe you are implying a more resource-based zombie game, where you can't just mow down the zombies but instead have to hide and avoid them, like "combat" worked in amnesia.
Though this was the general gist of what was said.
Get rid of the HUD and the one liners, add more zombies and realism.
I mean, I guess there was an abundance of 8 foot tall 400 pound people on the island prior to zombification. Maybe the island is somoan. But the straight jacket is pretty out of place.Knusper said:The close combat did seem quite satisfying but why are there straight jackets on a holiday resort?

Supposedly, there's an explanation to that. Call me cynical, but I'm sure the "explanation" will make me laugh or roll my eyes. Or both.
Even if it does, game still looks very interesting to me.
That would be nice, but this does seem to do stamina management well, no?Sober Thal said:Where the hell is my dark, atmospheric zombie game?!

Same here. Floating damage numbers, first-person-RPG, four-player MP with character classes, the elemental/stat-altered weapon variants - seems fairly Borderlands-influenced. Not that that's a bad thing.ott615 said:This reminds me of borderlands for some reason.
Sounds a bit TOO right. Although I'm sure the developers might've been aware of possibly echoing the same story told by Resident Evil, and perhaps gave it a twist. Like, LOST!Kopikatsu said:Test subjects?Tohuvabohu said:I mean, I guess there was an abundance of 8 foot tall 400 pound people on the island prior to zombification. Maybe the island is somoan. A hidden research facility is underneath the island. The scientists have been kidnapping hapless tourists every so often to experiment on them, and they eventually came up with the zombie virus.
And as Resident Evil has taught us, zombies + research facility = 100% chance of outbreak.
(This is speculation on my part...sounds about right, though, doesn't it?)
