This game is definitely something to watch out for. I just hope that the characters get alternate outfits. Running in high heels cannot be easy.

The game is definitely on my watch list. Personally, I'm really hoping that they release a playable demo.

I knew this was going to be an RPG game, but it still isn't quite what I expected to see. Mainly what with the numbers flashing from zombies after killing them.

Still, it looks good. Day 1 buy for sure. Seems like it'd be a lot of fun to play this with a few friends and I like all the restraints against mindless zombie massacring such as breaking weapons and the stamina bar. I'm glad we finally got to see it in action.

I wasn't very excited before, but my interest is growing faster than the character's stamina bar is depleting now.

Before I was just on the fence, but now I'm officially interested. This is going to be one I'll be watching more heavily now.

Looks fun, will enjoy playing this with some friends. Now hopefully they do something about that god awful HUD

Also if they wanna focus on melee combat there should be a way to attach your knife/melee weapon to your gun.
So you want to attach a 3 foot bat to a gun/rifle? Okay, so maybe a machete to a rifle? But rifles weight isn't the issue, but it's bulk. Though they look cool in movies, it is far to awkward to swing a rifle with a bayonet in front of it at multiple targets. Might as well use them separately.

you can craft electric machetes and explosive C4 knives but it's hard to find or use a gun? really ?
We don't know how much C4 is available. We already know guns are on a short supply, and you don't need to add a brick of C4 for it to do dmg to a human body. Maybe it is something to use on "bosses" or when **** hits the fan.

Where the hell is my dark, atmospheric zombie game?!

Damn you all, I hope you get infected with the T virus!

Oh well, the bastard child of Left 4 Dead and Dead Rising will have some fans I guess.

EDIT: Why can't I get a bastard child of Amnesia and Resident Evil???

However, maybe I got you wrong. Maybe you are implying a more resource-based zombie game, where you can't just mow down the zombies but instead have to hide and avoid them, like "combat" worked in amnesia.
Yep. Less silly weapon crafting / killing of hordes, more survival horror.
I just posted what I felt about this in a different thread >_<
Though this was the general gist of what was said.

Get rid of the HUD and the one liners, add more zombies and realism.
Well...realism...really? I know what you guys want, but it requires to never be touched or you get a game over after a zombie scratch. Yeah, that would be a long lasting game. What you guys are asking for is nothing more than a great downloadable title worth $15usd with a fixed amount of time before it's game over.

I'm laughing at all these people say they want a serious zombie game.

You can't tell these people what to do with their game, don't like what they're doing? Just move on.

OT: Looks pretty slick, not too fond of the stamina bar idea though.

The close combat did seem quite satisfying but why are there straight jackets on a holiday resort?

I mean, I guess there was an abundance of 8 foot tall 400 pound people on the island prior to zombification. Maybe the island is somoan. But the straight jacket is pretty out of place.

Supposedly, there's an explanation to that. Call me cynical, but I'm sure the "explanation" will make me laugh or roll my eyes. Or both.

Even if it does, game still looks very interesting to me.

Test subjects?

A hidden research facility is underneath the island. The scientists have been kidnapping hapless tourists every so often to experiment on them, and they eventually came up with the zombie virus.

And as Resident Evil has taught us, zombies + research facility = 100% chance of outbreak.

(This is speculation on my part...sounds about right, though, doesn't it?)

That would be nice, but this does seem to do stamina management well, no?

This melee and stamina system could be another aspect that goes into making such an dark-atmospheric zombie game really succeed.

OT: Do want. This game looks fantastic. Some people have noticed some minor quibs- uncanny valley NPCs, why the hell is there military grade C4 (explosive knife) but little in the way of arms and ammunition, and so on, but I don't think they'll be enough to break the experience...

Well, the uncanny NPC's might kill any chance of me giving a damn about them... maybe? But it might be too late for them to change that.

I'm still looking forward to this game.

This reminds me of borderlands for some reason.
Same here. Floating damage numbers, first-person-RPG, four-player MP with character classes, the elemental/stat-altered weapon variants - seems fairly Borderlands-influenced. Not that that's a bad thing.

Honestly, the thing that disappoints me most with this trailer? Apparent lack of character customization. I was hoping to make my own island tourist to drop in there. :|

Sounds a bit TOO right. Although I'm sure the developers might've been aware of possibly echoing the same story told by Resident Evil, and perhaps gave it a twist. Like, LOST!

Zombie LOST. LOST Zombies. Dead LOST. Resident LOST. Silent LOSTAhem. Sorry. :<

I still like the setting, and the circumstances to this zombie outbreak. Although the gameplay looks great, and it would no doubt be tons of fun for me and my friends, hopefully the game has a good story to tie it all together and make us appreciate playing through it just a tad bit more.

a zombie game with rpg elements for the zombies. HAHHAHAHAHAHAH.

A mishmash of shit thrown together is what this game is.

Enjoy left for dead 3 with grinding elements added to it.

This video gave me a lot of reasons to be exited for the game, but my favorite part was "I don't want to help her, so I'll just take her car and leave her alone", just kind of funny in a messed up way
