*sigh*

the collective IQ mankind has apparently dropped another dozen or so points since the last time I looked.

Indeed, what is the point? Besides to use digital lesbians and rendered breasts to make a ludicrous amount of money more than what GoW III would have already made. Honestly, I feel ashamed by association to belong to the male side of humanity, because I know not just one, or two, but several cpies of the game will be sold based on that alone.

Just when I was hoping that humanity might have some hope after all... But no, implication of sex and a poor female actor voicing some uuhs and aahhs is still a surefire way to make bucketloads of money from gamers.
The IQ of the entire mankind has been lowerd because of a sex scene? How is that possible?
I agree that he may be overexaggerating on the IQ bit. However, I agree that it seems like this scene was put in just for the sake of having a sex scene. I think he's referring to the intelligence (or lack thereof) one must possess to buy or at least rate a game as better than it actually is just because of the fact that there's a sex scene in it. And I'd agree, for the most part. I'd have very little respect for someone who told me GoW 3 was "awsum" because there was sex in it. And, judging by how much focus is being directed to the fact that there is a sex scene, it's details, what is it going to include, etc, it's not unfair to assume that many people are going to fall under the above category.

I'm going to go out on a wing here and say you checked last before Twilight came out.

I just lol'd at quick time event, I don't see anything wrong with it. I'm sure it has some sort of point and it does have the option to not do it it, I wonder what the consequences of each are. Some people take this stuff too seriously, just take it with a grain of salt, its not like it rots our brains.

Well if that's not geek bait, I don't know what is. Seriously, though, there are going to be a lot of teen-aged boys that play this that will eventually be confused when they lose their virginity: "Where are the other two girls? When do I press the X button? Where is the sword-whooshy noise?"

...It was kinda crap...

To be honest, it would fit in any game based on Greek or Roman gods - they bonked like bunnies all the time

S'good. And, at least they had a sense of humor about it.

It's the hypocrisy that I'm so tired of. So decapitating dozens of people is acceptable, but a little sex scene isn't? It's just boobs anyway, the act itself is out of focus, I've seen worse on nature documents for chrissake...

I'll admit that it was pretty hilarious too and I think it delivers a little mixed message. But hey, you're already playing an ego-boosting murder fantasy, so this extra ain't gonna do much harm anymore.

Plus, we don't have to over-analyze and nitpick everything. It's just funny and a little arousing. Enertainment.

What are you afraid of anyway?
Afraid? More like disappointed. Even when I was 14 and the Internet was brand-new (okay, so I'm dating myself a bit here) I could find better fantasy fuel than this. Granted, Aphrodite's boobs are nice, but they're the set least featured. Instead, you get extended shots of Pancake Junction and Silicone Valley. The animation and Voice-acting aren't nearly good enough to make this sexy, or even merely arousing, and it's not nearly as humorous as the sex in, say, Fable or GTA. Those who found this tripe hot and/or funny should try watching Porky's; it's both sexier and funnier.
EDIT: The screwup variant, however, was hilarious.

I remember a funny scene in the original Call of Juarez game. Early on in a cut-scene, a prostitute gets on her knees and unzips you. Unfortunately, you get interrupted before she does anything and you have to dive out the window to escape a barrage of bullets from an angry pimp/bar owner.

I couldn't help wondering - You never see him zip up again, what if he never put his gear away after the cut-scene? Is that why everyone else in the game from that moment on seems so angry at you?
