Working within limiting constraints is a balancing act between allocating enough resources to parts that need them, more than is needed to parts that you want to shine and less to parts you think you can get away with as less than sparkly.

Doing a scene like this one means less resources for all other aspects of the game.

It may have cost time, but it is suppose to be a mature game.

So just because it's been there before means it must be there now as well? From anything but a purely marketing perspective, I considered those previous installments of Kratos The God Manly Loving to be missteps as well.

Come on, lets all relax here, God of War is the pinnacle of the 'big dumb action movie' game genre, and it looks like they're going all out to hit every stereotype.

I betcha a dime to a dollar it's going to be ridiculously good fun to play (the game, I mean, not just that bit), and there's a dozen other games which can claim to extend videogames both as 'art' and mature entertainment.

for me, I'm quite happy for a few games to be made that are purely for fun.

Honestly, I feel ashamed by association to belong to the male side of humanity, because I know not just one, or two, but several cpies of the game will be sold based on that alone.

Just when I was hoping that humanity might have some hope after all... But no, implication of sex and a poor female actor voicing some uuhs and aahhs is still a surefire way to make bucketloads of money from gamers.

Creating this scene cost time and money, which could have been used to improve other aspects of the game. The reason I'm griping about this is that it leads to a worse product than what it would have been without it and no one seems to give a damn because they are distracted by Teh Jubblies.

And if I want to enjoy sex, I do it with my girlfriend, instead of playing God Of War.
