bottle it up. If a burst is imminent, I usually go through some of the taekwondod-curriculum known as poomse(the bit without punching and kicking people) which basically means doing a preordained series of techniques. Works like a charm, provided I can remember many enough for it to fill/distract my mind:D.

I groan a lot, then I try to remember how unreasonable I am when I'm angry, recollect my thoughts, think it through, then either walk away for a bit or confront why I'm angry.

If it goes unsolved though, and it sticks with me, I usually get really frustrated at everything and probably cry a bit.

Drink and smoke, mans best friend after all.
Also works for boredom, joy, hunger, insomnia, tiredness, excitement and mondays.

If that is not an option, i just let out my anger, emotions are not made to be surpressed.
Shortly at my weekend job,I had a huuuge argument with my foreman at work. We shouted at each other so loud the whole friggin storehouse could listen. It ended up with him leaving the place early, so we had to do the rest of the work without him.
He and me are pretty similar in character as far as i can tell till now. Today we had to work together again and after we had let of the steam back then, there was no hard feelings from either side. We actually get along really great today.
One can say alot about myself, but not that i am dishonest (exceptions are: Customers,Pupils, some parts of family, short: people you have to deal with and lying to them shows much more advantage).
Let out your anger when it builds up, so the pressure cant harm yourself. After all you are the protagonist of this story of your live and protecting the sidecast isnt worth it.

Bottle it up, then drink some Whiskey to get your mind on something else. Works like a charm no matter the emotion. Sadness, anger, regret, you name it, Whiskey cures it (at least for me, though it sometimes only lasts temporarily).

I channel my inner rage at a project. Usually I'll make a plan to do something to strangers, usually involving mass casualties. I never go through with it, but planning it out really eases the anger for me.

If it's a single person that I'm angry at I'll usually work out a plan to kidnap or murder them without consequence. Like I said, I never do though.

I listen to music or have a nap. I'm not really good at holding on to anger so I usually cool down I an hour or so.

I guess I'm a robot then. Because if feel anger setting in, I see it as a mistake/error in my judgement. Anger is completely unnecessary in life, it simply spoils what could be a good mood.
i agree with you mostly, but also think that anger is good sometimes, and can be used in a positive way. for example you see something happening that is just wrong, and it makes you angry, that anger can be the driving force that leads you to fix whatever wrong you see.
Part of me definitely agrees with you, as some could see a flaw in my thinking as being to apathetic. But at the end of the day, I think to myself 'will the negative feelings of my conscience if I do nothing and positive feelings if I take a stand outweigh the effort it will take for me to do something'.

I try to focus so that I won't do anything stupid. Then I sleep in hopes that I'll wake up in a better mood.

I turn rage into a fuel to drive me towards doing something about what bothers me. I don't accept unpleasant situations. Instead, I seek to change them in order to ensure that they no longer bother me anymore.

I go and play drums for an hour or two, clears my head real good.
Those things have kept me sane for the past eleven+ years or so.

Anger? Listen to music, I have to control my temper and I'm trying to avoid the medication my doctor's giving me.

you have still corrected a error in your environment and so have made your environment a better place to live.
By 'better place to live', only if you meant 'I'm now less likely to be wronged myself' would I agree with you.
if there is no reward or benefit at all and even if there may be negative consequences for your actions somethings most be done purely because its what you think is the right thing to do
But this is where our beliefs differ. I don't think it's the right thing to do. Virtue is wasted on me I'm afraid.

I write, not like a diary, more like one of those George Carlin sessions that just string out a list of complaints. This behavior is accompanied with drinking and other substances. I'm pretty sure it'll be a whole book one day and it'll fucking sell.

I let the anger give me a purpose, to turn it against the situation. It either works lika a charm or fails miserably.
