How do you name your character?

Actually I'm going to start calling my characters 'Fagballs' and I suggest that everyone else does when they can't think off a name for their characters.

I do that already ^^

In RPG's I name them what you're supposed to.

In MMORPG's I hit naming sites.

I have a few names I always use, but it depends on the character/game. Khorgul is for warriors/tanks, Alex Astartes for spellcasters and Duriel Jonquil for everything else. Historical (Total War, Knights of Honour etc.) I use Cazier, the original form of my family name, Chazot.

For things like Fallout, where fantasy names are less appropriate I just use my name as either Alex or Alexander.

I usually try to make the name fit the setting. For medieval fantasy, I pick up a Tolkien book and flip through to a minor character's name. For anything else, I usually just use a friend's name. If all else fails, they get named "Jalhira Nailo," because that was the name of my first Dungeons and Dragons character (back when Druid was a PHB class...).

I always use my last name for most of my character names in RPGs, since it works awesomely enough as both a first name and a last name. i.e. Drake Cousland as my human noble in DA:O

i always go either Dante or Zombie Fetus

I use Kukakkau because it is NEVER taken...probably because I got it by closing my eyes and hitting random keys originally

Original. The last isn't meant to be racist. I made it up at 5AM for a new redguard character in Oblivion and it stuck, hard.

Lately I bring up a baby naming site and type in the description search a quality and see what ones I don't hate.
Other times its just random. I used to name them after my friends but now that's creepy and boring.

If it's online I'll use Rickyvantof, otherwise just Rick. A main character's name is barely ever used in a game (outside of the menu screen in RPG's and such) so it really doesn't matter. I remember giving my characters in Fallout 3 weird names, like Gorfsmush or something, because i thought it was funny. Really...hilarious.

I usually stick with "Quasifrodo" unless I'm playing Chrono Trigger when I always rename "Frog" "Penis"

I either name my character Jay, jboking, or Anya. Always(with the exception of pokemon - where I name my character I say and LoZ where I name my character link or fagballs for the lulz)
