How much do you drink?

Hey fellow Escapists, im just back in off a few jars in the local and was wondering, How much do my fellow escapists drink? Obviously I mean alcohol , now i was recently in the USA for a visit and found that my drinking habits by far exceeded the norm, but also that i was not as "adversly" affected by booze as your standard yank. good times lool. But that was my average drink on a night out, now im Irish, we have amongst the highest alcohol consumption per capita in the world On a Friday/Saturday night out i would start at maybe 4-6pm and finish between 2-3am drinknig around 10-12 pints and 2-5 shots, on a heavy session like a party or such it could be much more, how much do m fellows consume?

I'm an American by birth but by genetics have ALL the heavy drinkers in my bloodline and it shows when I drink. I'd say what you just listed is my minimum when I do drink. Since I work a lot and all at night......tends to have the wrong effect on my drinking habits. Plus my money needs to go elsewhere.

For the 4th of July(Independence Day for us Americans) I drank a little over 16oz of 100 proof Southern Comfort (or So Co as a lot of people like to call it including me) and 8oz of Bacardi 151. Yeah it was all mixed with coke/dr. pepper but not much of the drink was the soda.......and the only reason I stopped was cause I had been working hard the previous few weeks and couldn't stay awake any longer..... and all that was within a few hours....like maybe 3 hours......the 151 was at my house and the So Co was at a friends house a bit up the street from me so I drove myself home in between the two(in my whole five minute drive)

I had the wonderful fortune to be in Las Vegas for your Independance Day, Its no Paddys Day, but its fucking close

Practically only at parties and in the occasional cafe. Note: at the aforementioned parties, the amount of alcohol consumed by me is not what you'd call small.

Not a drop. I decided a few years ago to be a complete teetotal, and not a drop of alcohol has touched my tongue since. Do I regret that decision? Absolutely not.

I only drink to get drunk, which happens on a monthly to bi-monthly basis.
It also takes a fair bit to get me drunk, seeing as I've got a bit of weight on my side.

I drink 2-4shots an hour, till im drunk. A friend of mine however could outdrink everyone here...750ml of 80 proof vodka in less than an hour, and still be fine. Might not be able to stand, but he won't be sick.

Ok, I'm sure some of you could do the same. Him, however, will keep drinking long past the point of safety if you give him more drinks...and I've still never seen him get sick.

Well last night out at the Vodka nationwide, i had 6 Fosters, 3 shots, 1 cocktail, half a bottle of champagne, Triple vodka and lemonade and 2 bottles of VK.

Yay ^_^ But i still wasn't drunk, just tispy-nice.

I'm in uni so its alot and often, who can say no to vodka shots of 80p each?

I could get through 10-12 pints and 2-5 shots on a heavy night, and have done. However, I don't drink incredibly often, maybe averaging 1-2 drinks a week with meals, if at all. During the holidays I hardly drink anything, its more when I'm at Uni or staying at my mate's in London.

Drink very rarely, probably 1-2 in every two months? I've only been out to a pub/bar once in the 6 months of me being 18.. So yeah, that probably shows how little I drink. However when I do drink, it doesn't take me much, one of the biggest light-weights around, which in my opinion is a good thing, as there's very few alcoholic drinks that I actually like. But then again, every light-weight says that..

Last time I drank it took 2 Strongbows, and that wasn't just tipsey, that was me having a hard time staying standing. Good times.

Uhm... like every second day 1 or 2 beers, and on weekends I drink kinda often...

Usualy about a pint or two of Bitter, Stout or Ale a night.
Or some of me and my dads hombrew wine or cider which is best only drunk in small ammounts
And for going out about 10+ pints

Depends on the who, what, where, and of course the when. Usually just a few beers, unless im out with the guys then all sense of counting how much goes right out the window. Then again i dont drink as often as it seems. Maybe 3 weekends out of the month tops? Ill enjoy a lunch beer or something on the weekends.

But it tastes so damn good!

And, well, I am partial to Cider, if that counts.

Next time im in the UK, you and me fatman are going to get proper drinks. Cider is pretty good, we dont have any decent stuff around here though.

Lager, ale, stout, draught, as long as it's got character. The usual dose is something between 2-10 pints, over a period of as much as 10 hours. Only on weekends, preferrably friday. I don't go for the hard liquor, it's not good for ya.
Also, occasionally wine with good food. 1-3 glasses.

Man I drink a LOT. Like, really, A LOT. I have another party tonight, and that means I'm going to have to drink. AGAIN. I've gotten drunk yesterday, and the night before. And last tuesday. I'm not going to live long at this rate. :S
