Xbox 360 player here, and typically only after I've been playing it for at least four hours at a time.

Also, I don't think it's ever outright froze in the middle of me playing. Typically it only crashes in the form of a never-ending loading screen.

It froze a couple of times for me but that was always after several hours of playing it. I got the Ultimate Edition a little while ago and haven't had a problem with it. Xbox 360 by the way.

I've got the 360 version and my copy has never crashed. It's frozen a couple of times but that's probably due to me playing it for too long in one sitting.
Out of interest have you had it since launch? Mine used to be damn near unplayable with bugs and glitches but now it's fine and only freezes after (greatly) prolonged play.

For me, it freezes somewhere between 1-25 minutes after I load the game.
Some may call that unplayable, but I call it very annoying and an immersion killer.
But that was because of mods (obviously my system is the pc).

Before all that, it never froze but crashes after I play more then a few hours, and sometimes less then that.
I've just cut my situation out of your post.

It's also why I hate the game. Fallout 3 never crashed for me, whereas F:NV crashed every time I played it and more often than not, more than once. Each crash was a killjoy, but it was rare during my playthough if I ever got to the point of decent enjoyment because of the crashes. I tried everything to make them stop, none of it worked. Only the patch nearly a year after launch reduced the frequency of load failure.

I also had texture load failures, broken quests and dead-end conversations, not to mention the multitude of creatures and characters that fell through the floor or got stuck inside walls.

I played on Xbox 360 with the game installed to HDD. There was no corrupted data on the disk therefore no reason to crash other than shitty programming.

Fallout 3 worked like gem though, and the world was more involving in my opinion. By far the more superior game.

On the 360, hardly ever freezes. In fact, I would say never, but my little brother said it did freeze for him once.

Never crashes on my 360 copy, that was just the core game with the expansions downloaded. But my PS3 Game of the Year edition with all the content on the disk freezes hourly.

I have had three crashes since I bought it around November-December time 2010. Maybe a little later than that. I'm on XBox, and those crashes were pretty far between each other, so, lovely.

Other games have performed similar. Fallout 3 has maybe had four or five crashes since I bought it and Skyrim has only crashed once for me so far. Everything plays pretty beautifully for me.

I pre-ordered the game. And no bugs. I'm REALLY lucky according to the internet.

Only ever had the crashing during fast travel.
How did you get around that? I'm currently playing through the Big MT and my game just started doing that. It's not too bad with this DLC as it's not a big region but I'm not really tempted to go back and travel through the Mojave Wasteland without fast travel.

Not to tempt fate but on Xbox once, and on PC maybe twice? But I've got a lot of mods etc installed.
I always wondered why everyone moaned about it.

Out of 50+ hours played on New Vegas it's crashed around 9 times, but always just as it's loading a new area and it auto saved literally a second before so it's never really put me off.

However since I started using the 4gb launcher mod it's not really happened, so guessing it was some memory issue.

Never crashed at all so far... Also had all the DLC, althougt no mods at all (I never found the appeal in mods. Except perpars the ones that fix very game breaking bugs.)

Only once or twice that I remember, I only played about 15 or 20 hours though I think. My friend brought his copy to college with him, but the guy we were living with who owned the PS3 moved out after 2 or 3 months. So ended my New Vegas adventures.

I have had three crashes in Fallout New vegas.

All of them caused by over-heating problems with my computer by trying to play it in the middle of summer.

All and all i have found it to be very stable.

Very seldom. I am fully patched and have all the DLCs, no mods currently. I play on a PC that runs Windows Home Premium 64 with a good video card (NVidia GTX series) with drivers that are fully updated.

In the main game and most of the DLCs except OWB, I have had only a very rare crash--I can't even recall exact circumstances, as it was the kind of thing that happened once and on reload never happened again--no different from most other games I've played at some point.

In OWB, I had the aforementioned crash issue where sometimes when fast traveling, I'd get a crash to desktop. This happened several times, and always when fast traveling. Fortunately, it is a small enough world space that usually I just "slow traveled" to avoid it, and if I wanted to fast travel, saved my game beforehand just in case.

If you are running on a PC and you are getting lots of crashes, I'd suggest making sure you are 1) fully patched and 2) that your drivers are fully updated. If you're running on a console... *shrug* sorry, don't know what you can do.
