Well, I killed off my ME1 love interest (Ashley) so I'm probably in the clear. And hopefully Tali isn't too sick from post-coitus.

Can't wait for all the delicious catfighting between Miranda and Liara.

this sounds awesome, what would fantastic if shepard was randomly in a bar/club (has thats where he/she always ends up at one point) doing that damned cheesy dance (cant find a vid to embed) when it all kicks off....

I wanted to stay loyal to Liara but couldn't as she didnt do anything until the expansion so had Tali instead. That will be an interesting cat fight, biotics vs robotics. Besides I would have had Tali in the first game but I am pretty sure thats not possible?

Garrus stayed loyal, Kaiden did not. I hate to say this Kaiden, but we were through the moment you abandoned me in ME2. As for you Liara, you were just a consolation prize when I couldn't have Tali.
and yeah seriously in a other instance of playthrough Ashley pretty much told me to piss off in ME2 as I was with cerberus and the "good" option didnt do squat even though she was my main squeeze in ME1. Can't get jealous if your the one that walked away from me? Please let that be a response :p

This actually seems like its for the better. Shepard romancing a third party member during the reaper invasion wouldn't make much sense.

That works....if you played Mass effect 1 and 2. Might lose the effect if someone decided to skip directly to Mass effect 3.

Other than that, it looks promising if people doesn't do another Metacritic bomb because of 1 or 2 details.
Who skips to the end of a trilogy? And anyone who does can't take issue with "missing" the story.

While this certainly seems interesting (although only the "no new romances" is news to me), I am still somewhat cynical now when Bioware talks about having choices and consequences. There has been very little evidence in Mass Effect so far, and don't get me started on Dragon Age 2.

Here is hoping they live up to their word this time around, this series is great and I want it to end on a positive.
Anyone would think that tying up every single loose end from the first game in the second game would be genius in a trilogy.

Oh good. I thought it was ANOTHER game where Shepard can betray his love partner with 12 different females in one evening...
huh?

Wow this is really impressive for a series to draw on data from your old game for the new one. I may not enjoy playing the Mass Effect games but this kind of thing is a great direction for series gaming (even if they only remember how my character is customised!)

I can't see my playthrough of leaving Liara for Garrus (before I had the DLC) going over too well. And for one of my current ones I was actually thinking about choosing Jack after Ashely. I think I'll stick with it just to see the epic fight.

Although now I kind of wish that I hadn't read this, as it's bound to influence my choice of love interest now.

Hehe, I just had the ultimate thought.

I romanced Ashely as a Femshep in ME1. Then Romanced Garrus in ME2. And BioWare stated that cheating will have consequences.

And cheating on Ashely... with Garrus!! Boy, Ashley is going to be Mega-Mega Pissed....I'm gonna have to hide for the entire of ME3....

When Shepard turned to that picture looked at it unflinching for a hard moment and then walked out to face what she had to assume could be her death...

It really sank in again, I knew where Liara was, I spoke to her... Yet, there I was at the end.

And she wasn't there with me that time.

I was already glad I stayed faithful to Liara, and more so when Shadow Broker came out, and now a third time.

-People who are cheap.
-People who thinks that the last version must have the better gameplay.
-People who assumes that the backstory will be explained to them.
-People who didn't finish the 1rst or 2nd but want to give the 3rd a shot.
-In the case of the PS3, I don't think the betrayals work (unless they give you an option in the Mass effect 2. I haven't played that version).

Must I go on?

Liara and Tali are going to have a bit of an awkward moment for sure.

But to be fair i've always wanted to be with Tali, even in the first one. But that wasn't an option D:<

and for the first time in the Mass Effect series, i did not even bother trying to flirt with all the available love interest, ie play the field, like i did in ME1. I just straight up hated the stuck up ***** that was Miranda, and turn offed by the ugly tomboy Jack.

Was so happy they decide to keep Tali's face a secret ♥ (o dear god i hope they continue this. remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so please don't Bioware, PLEASE DON'T RUIN THE MYSTERY!)

On one hand...Yay! This means I can probably continue where I left off With Tali! :D

On the other hand....I'd better get bulletproof armor, because Ashley is gonna murder me. I really hope there's the option to tell her:
"You hurt me! You walked away first! Yeah, you emailed me later, but you still walked out on me! :( I want someone who is ready to trust me no matter what, and Tali did, even though cerberus attacked her damn fleet!"

....Yeah, I had a feeling this would bite me in the ass. But Tali is so much deeper and more interesting than Ashley. Would have pursued Tali in the first game if she was an option, actually (she started off so annoying but soon grew on me)

Fireworks? Try nuclear war.

Anyways, saw this coming from a mile away. Kinda glad, really, I always found Bioware's romance writing to be... well, if I said "sub par", it'd be doing them a kindness.
