who would have thought that training for real life via a video game is better than training for real life via real life

You would think his disbarment would have been enough for people lose interest in him, The fucker isn't credible anymore, he doesn't know jack shit about the law from a Lawyer standpoint, it's obvious by his disbarment. The more fucked up news that parallels this is what was said on last week's extra credits...the whole Supreme Court having to weigh in on Video games...i swear the ignorance that plagues American culture is truly baffling. Just because one person even mentions that a serial killer played Halo in his dorm room 10 years ago...means that ALL Video games lead to psychosis or some other form of mental retardation.....

If the sun was proven to be a bad influence he'd probably write to God to stop it from rising in the morning. Don't feed the troll kids :D

It's always funny to see Americans, and especially Jack Thompson, get uptight when you can kill their troops on a video game. Perhaps they should consult Germany on its feelings before releasing another WWII game in which you get to mow down the entire Nazi army. Or does that count as OK because they were the evil ones?

Regarding Thompson though, what can he do now that he hasn't already tried to do and failed at when he actually had legal power?

Oh, Jackie boy, you're at it again, aren't you? Going against EA is like David's 5 year old brother going toe-to-toe with Goliath's steroid-abusing father with nothing but a plastic spoon.

Why don't you just give up and go sit in the corner with your coloring book. I'll even let you color outside the lines.

"He also told Gates that he would be justified in imposing a ban because the high level of realism makes it an effective training tool for the Taliban"

Was I the only one who noticed this?
If it was that realistic I'd have to buy it.
I think Jack Thompson is secretly advertising for this game.

The Official response from EA:

"Thank you, Mr.Thompson. Thank for making the release of the the next "Medal Of Honor" a high profile event. We just cannot buy advertisement like this, and believe me, we've tried*!"

*Okay, this is just made up. I have no idea if they've tried to buy this type of hype. Don't sue me

I would offer up a smarmy comment on this story, but it's likely already been said. At any rate, it would seem that the more things change, the more they stay the same.

As long as this clown doesn't get any political motivations, who cares what kind of shenanigans he embarrasses himself with next? All that his missions, tirades, and campaigns ever do is make him look like an even bigger douchebag than whatever he did before...

Okay, forgive me for my lack of knowledge concerning the US Legal Department, but does the Secretary of Defense have any say in what gets sold and what doesn't? I mean, if not, Thompson... I think I see a small flaw in your plan.

Jack Thompson vows to stop Metal of Honor? More like Jack Thompson vows to get other people to stop Metal of Honor. I'm I right?
