Yet another reason I want a PS3.
Put it down in price Sony, dammit.
if your in the uk you can get an 80 gig or something for 100 quid, thats reasonable no?
Huh. I thought they were still a lot more expensive.
Well, it's tempting, but exam season is coming up so imma hold off.
well that was in the reading store today . But that might be because of the financial turmoil.
And its preowned. But if your in the market for a cheap one that was always going to be the way ^^

Good luck with the exams!
True. I should find one cheap fairly soon I imagine.
And thanks! It'll be a month or so until they start, but y'know, revision and all that boring jazz.

I really, really wanted Journey. Pity it's PS3 and I only have an X-box.
But that's okay, the Live arcade has a pretty amazing selection of it's own. Bastion made it worthwhile for me.

Makes me glad to hear such positive things about Journey though. There needs to be more mechanics that reward exploration in games. It's really being underused in games today. Too often are we just being given new ways to clear out the hostiles in a corridor, and there's only so much expansion available in one field.
I'm glad Journey dedicated itself solely to this. Just might encourage other games to include the mechanic.

Meditate?

What do you mean?

X is jumping/flying and circle is for your talk, bubble, thingy.
You can sit down and just... meditate.

Like this.

But not just at one of the little post thingies (^ That) at the end of every level, I want to meditate in my spare time.

EDIT: Oh, found it, it's the select button.

Bought the game, love it so far.

But how do I meditate?
It's actually the Select button. Took me a while to find out as well (seriously, that's like the most obscure choice for this action)

Huh, does meditation do something? Or is just sitting down?

one and a half hour for 15$? Sounds like ripoff to me. Pass.
Do you not subscribe to the idea of 'quality over quantity'?
No i don't i weight my interest with how long game is and then consider to buy or not. One and a half hour for 15$ is a ripoff to me. i could save that money and put it towards some future J-RPG that will last me ~40 hours and quality is subjective Journey don't look that interesting to me well at lest not 15$ interesting if it were 4-5$ i would considered it.

Out of curiosity, how much does a new film cost where you live?

Because 10 quid is about right for a DVD release over here and Journey is about as long as a feature film.

I'd agree with the OP, adding only the caveat that the game does not take very long to complete and is 15 dollars.

It's a sublime experience for how long it lasts, but just know what you're getting into.
How short are we talking, here? A decent movie, a COD Campaign, a long remix of Inna Gadda Da Vidda?

honestly, i think its silly the base a games worth on how long it is. i mean i can understand having a hard time justifying a purchase of something that wont last long (ive passed on games because of their short length) but most people will likely play it more than once. journey is a very deep and beautiful game with a story that is heavy with metaphor. personally, id rather have a game thats short but takes advantage of every second, than a long game that drags things out just so it can reach a certain length. but i do understand that its a gamble and i cant promise that you will love it as much as i did because everyone is different. i would encourage you to read more about it before making up your mind though.
