Actually the original meaning of the word pornography was more along the lines of "desicrating", "corrupting, or "foul-making (in the sense that it takes something good and twists it into something foul)"ssgt splatter said:HOW THE HELL DOES THIS COUNT AS PORNOGRAPHY?!?!?!
Porn is sex, not gory gameplay.
Now don't get me wrong, if I had a kid, I wouldn't want him playing this game until he was at least 16 but still, you're really going to stand there with a straight face and call this game PORNOGRAPHY?!?!?! Are you people high?
Sex was considered a beautiful and sacred thing so when "smut" (the word your thinking of) was made it was deemed pornographic; that is to say it was deemed to be desacrating the sacred act of sex
over the years the two terms became so analogious that people used the word interchangably with "smut"
So the way they are using the word is actually consistent with its meaning.. more or less
on the other hand, if you actually do plan on being the type of parent to enforce (or at least aknowledge) ESRB ratings on games befor allowing your kids to purchase them, kudos
