I've played that game a lot. I don't remember any odd/intense strobing effects anywhere.. I don't think even lots of spell effects going off at once would really reproduce that.
thats what i was thinking, there are much worse games with that sort of thing in them.hudsonzero said:i don't rememberer strobe lighting effects in oblivion.
Unless he had a disco mod, in which case he is beyond help. Also, doesn't that spell takes a little over a second to cast, so how would it violate the 3 flashes rule?canadamus_prime said:Also, I don't remember there being any flashy strobe-like effects in Oblivion. The closest thing I could think of would be the lightning spell effect, but I highly doubt you'd get a seizure from that.
Well don't just scoff, hook a brother up, yo.iblis666 said:pfffft thats tame ive spent years trying to find a vid that can cause me to have seizures and that didnt even give me a queasy sensation like some of the better ones doII2 said:snip
its probably because of the low quality. that in 1080p might give you a reaction.iblis666 said:pfffft thats tame ive spent years trying to find a vid that can cause me to have seizures and that didnt even give me a queasy sensation like some of the better ones doII2 said:I think there were a few Shivering Isles screenshots used in this video at about 0:30-35, but at least it came with a warning:
Beyond all the flashing lights, I'm fairly certain this video is also cursed; just for you consideration.
Nobody reads EULA's either, yet those seem to be doing just fine.Earnest Cavalli said:Normally this sort of lawsuit would be met by rolling eyes and audible scoffs -- have a look at the comments if you don't believe me -- but I think this case might actually serve an important purpose, regardless of its eventual outcome. Game packaging has specifically warned consumers about the danger of seizures as far back as I can remember, and while you'd think that would sink McLaughlin's case by itself, it's entirely possible that the court would rule in his favor simply by virtue of the fact that no one actually reads those warnings.
Yes, people with any history of epilepsy are immediately disqualified from all classes of pilot licences. There are very few exceptions but if you've had a seizure in your adulthood you cannot be a pilot. It's about safety.Sebster 105 said:OT: it's a shame but do they really need to strip him of his flying credentials?
Imagine having a siezure while piloting a jet going a 1000 kph, I don't think that will end up very well.Sebster 105 said:OT: it's a shame but do they really need to strip him of his flying credentials?
