Less Than 30% of Gamers Ever Finished GTA4

Another point to make is anyone who made an Xbox Live account but don't actually own a Xbox.
I certainly fall into the category of never completing GTAIV, but only because I played it at a friends house as I don't own the game, (not even the PC version either) or a 360, and it is a very long game (well over 20 hours if I recall correctly), and I've not been around his house long enough to complete it.

In fact, similar thing with Fable II, and CoD4 (which I have completed on PC anyway), and Halo 3 (which I've never been too interested in the campaign, and mostly played it in rather large LAN multiplayer games), as I haven't completed any of those either.

Have completed both Gears of War I & 2 however, mostly due to split-screen co-op though. I have completed Mass Effect as well, though that might have something to do with my RPG nerdiness and the fact I haven't played a Bioware game I haven't loved.

There are probably even more games I have recorded as 'not completed' purely because I signed in while the game was running and was in the process of changing games over.

Fable II is one of the only games I HAVEN'T completed, I honestly can't think of more than 1 or 2 that I actually got a decent way into that I just couldn't be bothered to finish...

Finished the game 4 times.
Although I didn't get all achievements and stunt jumps.
And those fucking flying rats. Damn them all to hell!
Edit: Oh yeah, I liked the story.
'S all good.

I don't really care about the GTA4 stuff but i do think it is cool on how they got this information. granted people who don't use internet connection are not in the poll, but this is a very good way to get a statistic without using random sampling or some other method.

I was going to finish it, but when I got Gold I was unaware that you could switch your single player file over to a multiplayer file. So I began again and it did not grab me for a second go.

The sad part is that it was the only game in the series that had a stable difficulty curve. And it was the easiest in the series, imo.

There are many games I don't finish some because they led me to believe they were great like mercs 2 that I returned not long after getting. Gta4 I sold because they tried adding realism into gta and if I can't jump out of a helicopter and just roll for minimal armor damage it's not the GTA i loved. However just last night I beat prototype after having it for so long so part of it is just loosing interest.

i could say one thing about the 360 but it would proably create flame bait. So im not

But anway, the thing is, they took this from online gamers, dont you think people who dont have the multiplayer ability are going to proably finish the campain since thats all they had. And also only 14,000, sure that may be a number good for colecting data but there are millions of others who werent tested, millions of others who could have completed the acual game.

You must be joking me, right?

God, the other games must have been really AWFUL then.

Yes, I did make that image.

Yeah. They were pretty hard. Especially some of Vice City's missions. Like, I never finished any GTA game except for GTA 4 and San Andreas. San Andreas was only because of cheats. The GTA games aren't hard because of the combat, they're hard because of some absurd time limits on some absurd missions. Cheats can't fix time limits.

GTA IV: I did the campaign twice. Unless it means ALL achievements then I've only completed Hitman: Blood Money.
Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 Bored and stuck.

I finished GTA4, but I didn't quite rush to the end. I got to a point where I had the safe houses, then took some time off because I began to loathe the missions. I then, however, realized that the chaotic rage isn't as much fun as it was when I was a teenager and rushed through a particularly bad ending.

I can see why some people would bother to finish the game however, because of the people to whom the game is clearly marketed to (as in the M rating means dick all), the rampage is fun, a lot more so than the story. It was like this in GTA3, Vice City and San Andreas. They don't have particularly good stories to draw you in, the missions all full of BS and neither of those are involved with seeing how many civvies you can destroy before your car breaks down.

I beat GTA IV twice - gotta get them trophies :). Apart from the achievement benefits, I just don't feel that I've fully experienced the game unless I've finished it.

This is unsurprising to me. A lot of people just buy games for the multiplayer these days, which is why a lot of developers are focusing on it more than making a good singleplayer campaign. Sad for people like me who don't enjoy multiplayer in games.

But personally I have finished the singleplayer on almost every game I've played, unless the game just bores me too much to bother. I like that feeling of closure at the end of a game.

The game is like, 50 hours long, and all of the missions are harder than..... You know.

So cut me some slack GTA.

I didn't even like you that much.

not really surprising, GTA4 was one of those titles that I just couldn't get into no matter how hard I tried to get myself to like it. After about the sixth trip to the strip club with that stupid cousin I just dropped it and never looked back.

There's an achievement to complete the storyline in less than 30 hours, which I got on my first runthrough.

50 hours...maybe if you spend an extra 20 hours sandboxing in between missions.

There is no game that I own that I have not completed multiple times. Save for Borderlands of course :D

I rented GTA IV so I never really got a chance to finish the game but I was not inclined to rent it again or buy it because it was just not much fun.
