More migrants? Great! We always need new people here in Reveredtour. Mainly soldiers after the last few battles...but I don't have to tell them about that.
...what a bunch of weirdos. Who comes up with these names?

I just realized that if we're going to be running a steel industry, we'll need a lot of flux stone. We don't have much at the moment, but luckily there's a large deposit of marble that can be mined out.
The earth below Reveredtour sure is resource rich. All it needs is some magma and we'll have pretty much everything we'd ever need.

Puppies!
Puppies are so cute and adorable. They're also absolutely delicious!

Well I now know what the worst way to wake up is now; hearing a horrifying roar echo up from the deep.
Another great beast is down in the caverns. I can't believe another one has already shown up. Moldath said its name is Ebra, the Itch of Oooze. I'm not sure how that name makes sense, but I don't question grubmen naming habits when they're the ones who deal with these things on a regular basis. Ebra appear to be a giant, flying lizard. Also, he spits fire.
HE SPITS FIRE!!!
This thing is a dragon! A fucking dragon! Some dragon that wandered into the caverns and turned into a horrific nightmare! Dragons are scary...not as bad as bronze colossus, but they're still really bad. I remember when that one dragon came to the capital...burnt an entire hallway full of dwarves...and my hair, but that's not as important.
Ebra lives down in the abyss, but I don't think he's going to opt to chase around that ocotpud with Yara. Mainly because he can fly. I'm not sure how to deal with this. I'll send the militra down to Goden's office and just hope for the best.

The military was to slow. Ebra flew into Goden's office, and evidently became aware of the approaching soldiers from above. It decided to wait for them, as it believed it would have the advantage. A brave soldier named Tulon was the first to arrive.
He had no notable skills, but despite this he did not fear Ebra. He charged forward, intent to slay the beast and protect Revredtour.
HIS BRAVERY WAS REWARDED BY HIS HEAD BEING TORN OFF!!!
Despite how horrifying this was to behold, the other soldiers who had arrived were not discouraged. They attacked Ebra, and actually began to overwhelm it.
The soldiers swarmed Ebra, hacking apart the beast's immense body from all sides. It tried to smother them all in a blanket of fire, but evidently the soldiers did so much damage to it that it could only let out a pathetic puff of smoke before collapsing. They were, of course, unharmed.
At this point Ebra was done for. More soldiers continued to arrive, and he could do nothing to resist their constant onslaught. It gave into pain, and was merely waiting for one of the soldiers to deliver the finishing blow.
Unsurprisingly, that soldier was Momuz.
That went better than I expected. I mean, it's a shame about Tulon getting brutally slaughtered, but I was worried we would lose many more soldiers.

So the mechanics and masons finally finished setting up our spider chamber, this time with nobody trapped inside it. The idea is pretty simple; the spider will spit webs at anything that comes near it, and if they happen to get to close they'll get caught in the cage traps. This should help with all the wild animals that keep wandering up into the staircase.

Solon has been acting weird lately. She keeps muttering things to herself, and she says she has a brilliant idea, but won't tell anyone a thing about it. Actually, now that I think about it, she could be experiencing a strange mood. At least it isn't of the nightmarishly creepy variety.
9th Slate, 1055, Mid-Spring
Houi passed away today. Sadly, I saw this coming. She'd been refusing both food and water for the past week, even from Rowan. There's was nothing we could do to get her to stop starving herself. I'm not sure what caused her to act so strange in the first place. Regardless of why she did this, she still deserves a proper burial.

Litast gave birth to her third child today. It's a healthy little girl!
With an odd name. Don't get where this trend of naming dwarves like this came from. I guess it caught on at some point and I'm just behind the curve.

Solon has started working on her project. Unsurprisingly, it's some kind of gem related work. We haven't gotten one of these yet, so I'm curious as to what she'll produce. Though nothing will ever top that incredible buckler.
25th Slate, 1055, Mid-Spring
Solon finished the artifact she was working on!
It's actually pretty nice. This is the kind of scepter you'd see Queen Betankubuk carrying around.
Course I'm not the kind of person to use one of these things. Neither is Goden, thankfully. Still, it's a fine scepter and it does a good job of showing off the wealth of Reveredtour. And better yet, it doesn't have any creepy images engraved on it!
