Not sure it counts as a life experience, but for me I was always told that it was. For me it was being told that going to the center of London for New Years would be fantastic. it was awful! We couldn't see the fireworks from the bridge we were on and it took us 4 hours to get home while random men groped me and my friends while we were in the queue, so I elbowed them in the stomach and stamped on their feet. It was the worst new years eve celebration I ever had and it was the first and last time I had ever gone out for new years eve.

Drinking and getting drunk. Honestly almost any thing with alcohol in it tastes rancid and terrible to be. And when I was drunk for the experience I felt like I was just really motion sick and it was awful.

Then again it's been suggested to me that I may have some kind of allergy of medical reaction to alcohol, but from what I've experienced I dislike both the taste and feeling of alcohol.

Having my first beer.
YUCK!!! So bitter. Why do people drink this stuff?!

Then I discovered Smnirrnof Ice, and yes I know I spelled that wrong. Alcohol mixed with something I can recognise like lemonade is when I can really enjoy drinking.

Drinking: Just made me feel a bit dizzy and tired. Not that good.

High School: Not bad, but my earlier years were so much better.

First sexual encounter: A bit awkward, and not that pleasurable.

Good exam results: Not that great, didn't make me feel insanely proud or anything.

First time I killed a man: Probably shouldn't talk about that one.

The only things that don't tend to dissapoint me are extreme sports and Christmas.

Prom. It sucked.

Sex (after prom) also sucked.

Turning 18...meh.

Driving. You think it's fun, until the first time you have to buy gas.

And people who say high school was an idyllic time probably never went to high school.

OT: The "age" landmarks. You're one year older, whoop tee doo! It's because of this I've taken up telling people that they're "one year closer to dying" on their birthdays. I'm such a good friend!

getting laid for the first time.

Sex got better, though. Now got a regular nerdy hook-up, so we can just do it whenever we like and then go back to vidja gaems and painting our armies. AND I AM TOTALLY NOT SHOWING OFF
.
i envy you so hard .

OT: getting a girlfriend . I mean my first was cool and all , but i was young and naive and horny . I didn't end well .And wasn't all that great in hindsight.

Getting a driver's license, turning 18, graduating high school, losing my virginity, attending college....pretty much everything hahaha.

Man this world really blows, eh? I DID, however, very much enjoy the release of Skyrim. SO there's that.

Driving and graduation. I already knew at the time that a high school diploma is worth less than the paper it's printed on and by the time I got my Art History degree from Uni, the recession was in full swing and I knew getting to keep my part-time cleaning job was all I would get out of it.

As for driving, my parents insisted I get all 5 licenses. So I did. Big whoop. I don't enjoy driving at all, I can't afford a car or motorcycle and even if I could, they would be highly impractical since I live in the city center. For real, the nearest place to park is farther away from the city center than my aparment. It would make negative sense to own a motorvehicle. And even the first time driving, my only reaction was:"I've done this thousands of times in videogames. I don't need lessons. Just give me the stupid license." Only ever had 3 lessons before getting license. Driving is just piss-easy and boring.

Captcha: fools gold. I'm beginning to think the Captchas use text in the thread to be relevant. That or the machines are alive.

They say that it's the time of your life because it only goes downhill from there. I know only a single adult that admits this.
Your phrasing seems off. It's not that you only know one adult who 'admits' it so much as you only know one adult who's managed to balls up their life so severely that the endless shitfest of high school was their high point. I mean, hell, I scrub toilets for a living, but you couldn't pay me enough money to ever go back to high school. Then again, maybe that says more about my HS experience. Your results may vary.

I was deeply dissapointed by the first blowjob I got. I had it all built up in my mind to be this wonderful feeling of sensual bliss.

Turned out to be very boring.
Because she probably didn't have enough practice, unlike a porn star?

- Losing my virginity: Uncomfortable and sometimes painful, it wasn't at all the 'unforgettable experience' as I was told to expect.
Really? Since I was 15-16 I noticed the trend of making it look uncomfortable and awkward. If you were caught by surprise, perhaps you should have watched more American Pie or those other comedies about highschool.

Drinking was never overhyped for me, I had my first stiff drink at age 12. Watching other people get excited over it has been amusing, though.

Same goes for driving... I learned to drive in a field in my uncle's '66 VW in my early teens (had to do it barefoot, thanks to not having pedals. I actually learned to grip the clutch, gas and brake levers with my toes. To this day I unconsciously curl my toes when driving). It's mostly just a responsibility not to get yourself and your passengers killed.

I knew exactly what to expect from high school, thanks to my older brother... and it sucked.

Sex... that was over-hyped. My first time was drunken, awkward, smelly and generally awful. Don't let that put you off though, kids... it's awesome if both parties know the basics of what they're doing and clean themselves properly... but to be honest, I've had some really bad sex in my time, and masturbation is far better than bad sex.

Killing other human beings... still not sure it was me who made the kill, the first time. At range, it's mostly just confusing. Never killed a man close enough to see his eyes, and I hope I never have to... which is an odd dichotomy, since I'm always armed and prepared to.

Christian confirmation - "Now you enter the ranks of the adults." was such a fat lie I wont even begin to dissect it. I was 13 and apparently an adult, though people didn't treat me differently from before now that I had lied about my religious devotion to Jesus. I couldn't smoke, I couldn't drink, I couldn't get a drivers license, I couldn't legally have sex, I couldn't move out on my own, but a final decision on life, the universe and everything? Yeah that's fine.

I did like the computer and money people gave me though. That part was alright.
