Don't get me wrong, the only reason I won't buy the 3DS is because I can't. It wasn't released in my country, and importing it with the shipping cost and import tax would make the price inflate exponentially. Same goes for the cartridges. Hell, I remember a teacher buying the iPhone when it was released for $1400+ for the same reasons. Hell, the only reason I can afford to build a gaming PC is because the government gives special concessions for PC parts to encourage infrastructure development.Alar said:I might be interested in getting this for the DS games I already own. I may be willing to grab up old game ROMs since they're practically impossible to come by now adays, but when it comes to modern titles I'd rather make sure I'm only getting what I already own.Raiyan 1.0 said:Can't wait to play this... on my PC.

I'm sorry, but the N64 Zelda games were nothing but an argument for the series remaining top-down. The 3d ones started getting good with Windwaker.Dr. wonderful said:Souplex said:Why are they wasting time with this when there are much better Zelda games out there? I'd like to see Link's Awakening, Oracle of Ages/Seasons, and Minish cap on a single card.
After all, they're the best Zelda games.
*Ahem*
This, is the best Zelda game ever made, the music, Atomsphere the fact they actually allowed people to die.
It's wonderful. *Rimshot*
Hmmm...Scrumpmonkey said:Hahahaha, bullhonkey. Someone has been drinking the Nintendo marketing department kool-aid. Screen for screen it looks almost indistuningishable from the N64 title. Link may look a little different but 90% of the resources look identical to the 1997 release. You know why? Because they are. This IS a straight port. It's not a remake, it's a 1997 title in 3D.WolfEdge said:It would be if these games were ports and not actual remakes.Scrumpmonkey said:Does.. does anyone lese think this is a really genius scam? Yes OOT is a great game, it was a great game in 1997 back when i played it to death. I don't see why we need ANOTHER version of it. Between all the emulators, Gamecube packages and of course Wii-ware there are plenty of ways to replay the game. Its already there, nintendo is often cirticised of lacking new ideas but the 3DS lineup from the big N is straght-up N64 mash-up with the added nauseating 3D.
These aren't just little graphical bumps nintendo is selling, these games had to be completely remade and retooled from the ground up to interface properly with the 3ds, from hit detection to animation to textures. The designs and maps may be similar, but that doesn't mean they're one and the same.
Only at Gamestop. I saw Emerald at a used game/import store in NYC for 15Asuka Soryu said:Main reason why I dislike, Nintendo. They have such a following behind their big named games, that the price never declines, even if it's old and used.Krion_Vark said:I saw a Pokemon EMERALD at Gamestop for $35 tell me how it makes sense a USED game is more than it was new.ProfessorLayton said:As a fan of Professor Layton, World of Goo, and Plants vs. Zombies, I believe charm can sell a game. And the charm definitely sold this game to me. Gotta get my money ready for June 19th, then...

Anyway, I'm definitely getting a 3DS once this, Star Fox, and the new Paper Mario are out, and hopefully by then the price will have dropped a good amount.
Yeah, I've got a feeling that the 3DS will be $250 for a long time. And I point to the fact that Super Mario Galaxy 1 is still $40 used at GameStop. Nintendo won't drop the price until well after Christmas.
I honestly think the 3DS is worth the $250 I paid for it, but if I were you I'd at least wait until the internet browser update comes out and that's scheduled for late May.
So new generations who missed out on the original can have a shot at it too.Scrumpmonkey said:Does.. does anyone lese think this is a really genius scam? I mean, LOOK at that.WolfEdge said:
Same here, I always liked the more stoic Link. But the graphics have aged pretty well XDMr.Pandah said:Don't like the cuteness to be honest, BUT, the game still looks fantastic even after all these years.
I don't give a damn about ancient Nintendo licenses, and very little Nintendo has done since the early 90s has impressed me. The games I remember loving on the NES were usually made by Capcom or Konami.Arqus_Zed said:Just a few questions to all the Nintendo fans...
Why are they re-releasing Ocarina of Time again?
Why does Nintendo pour so many NES, SNES and N64-remakes on their handheld consoles?
Why do they still charge full price?
Why do they still remake N64 titles, when they already proved the original DS could do it, if anything, shouldn't they be on their way remaking GameCube titles?
Yeah, I know, seems like I'm starting a flame war, what with posting this stuff in a thread where obviously all the Nintendo fans come to gather... But on the level, I'd just like an answer and skip the 'rage' part.
(By the way, why does Nintendo never cut the prices of their games? I walk into a store and Twilight Princess still costs about ? 50?)
