Edit: TBF, if Lucas had done this at the time, it might not have been so bad. And there is one film, Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut - but that's an entire saga in itself.

Your a hack. Thank go technology limited you in the 80's and you didn't get to fullfill your visions of Jar Jar, bad computer graphics, pointless camios and Noooo's.
It would have robbed us of starwars in the 80's but would have put a end to your career long ago, and we never would have to hear "Mesa thinks peoples gonnas dies?"
Please...it is your work, but WE fans made you, And we fans aren't buying a new DVD set everytime you edit one little thing.
Stick to toy lines for money, or license a new X-wing/Tie fighter game or Jedi knight for cash.

Okay, I'm sorry, but I've had enough of this. I was on George's side for some time now, saying it's his work, only he can decide what to do with it. But that's enough. Most other writers do not take this many liberties with their own work. Once it's out, it's out. They can't mess with it anymore. Yet this guy keeps coming back and making these minute, unimportant, and unnecessary changes to an already released product of his. What is the point!? If it's not 'perfect' now, it never will be! And it can't be just about being able to re-release it and make more money; he could just do that just as easily without making such arbitrary changes.

I'm not buying the Bluray releases for Star Wars. I'm done entertaining Lucas' sordid fantasies with my hard earned money. If he can't stand back, see the house he has built and think "Good enough" then I'm just not bothering with the man anymore.
