This technology is nothing short of amazing. It's advancements like this that really drive home the point that we do indeed live in the future and that little by little our world's technology becomes more and more like Star Trek's. :3 Now all we need is transporters and holodecks to be set.

Or wait, did I misread that? Is this thread actually about a gun that is highly flammable? I'm confused.

Aaaand I don't believe it. Probably just another hoax like the 'magic finger regrowth powder' from pigs or whatever it was.

I smell a nobel prize plus lots of $$$$ for the patent owners, also the doc's hair style being the trend for 2011.

Yeah I know, science it works bitches. Try to do that by praying to God. (No offence to religious people. But when you don't accept medical treatment because of your believe is something else then science, then you deserve what's coming to you. If you refuse it for your children, then you should be ignored.)
About BabySinclair.
Skin is the simplest organ we have, so don't get your hopes up. But yeah that technology is also coming. It'll come sooner if people get over the whole anti-genetic-manipulation thing.
By the way this technology is rather outdated, it's been available for a good five years now. Sure not every hospitable uses it, but yeah it isn't that new. Kinda like the internet, it already existed a decade (or maybe even more?) before people started using it.

once again stem cells ftw. the stuffs like organic duct-tape.
I concur with this statement. Not only is this awesome for burn victims but imagine what alterations to the technology could do for dentistry, reconstructive procedures, etc.

THAT WAS AMAZING! YES I KNOW I'M YELLING! THIS DESERVES ECSTATIC YELLING!

I know a couple of people who could have used this back when they were children. This is going to change so many things. For the better.

hmm are they duplicating the skin? if so it could be used for robotic limbs making it only a cyberskeleton making them not stand out so much yust think about it.
If your joking, haha good joke. Nice terminator reference.
If not, no skin needs oxygen-and-nutricion rich blood in order to survive and reproduce. Placing it on a robotic-skeleton would kill it in less then a day. And I doubt that the technology for creating blood, putting oxygen and nutritions in it, putting Carbon-Dioxide and waste products out is going to be available soon. And when it is, you'll have a full blown cyborg.

This is quite possibly one of the greatest things I've seen in a long, long, loooooong time.

Let us pray there are no unforeseen side effects.

So... why aren't we funding the bejesus out of this? This seems too good to be true.
It doesn't need to be funded the bejesus out of it. People that want to work on it will, sure some extra dollars won't hurt. But you'll reach a certain point were more funding won't speed up the process, and even more funding might even slow it down.
Use the money to bribe politicians so they will support the technology.
