I have an ex girlfriend who is a burns nurse and i've visited her at work a few times. Plus i've been to the children's burns unit at Westmead Hospital and seen some pretty heavy shit there.
If this works, it will be revolutionary. Unless you've seen it or felt a burn, you cant imagine how bad it is. Especially with kids.
The only down side to it would probably be that it wouldnt work on full thickness burns, (3rd degree burns,) as the lowest level of the skin would be dead and the new cells would have nothing to graft themselves to.
But one of the many plus' would be that any doctor could use it, not just a burns certified doctor.

Ok, we have now invented med packs... now all we need is for someone to invent the health bar.

(Contemplates having to choose sex with a pornstar, or developing a gun that heals burns. )

Looks like science wins out!

That is actually amazing. I petition Science Fiction drop the latter name, because let's face it, we're getting closer to it everyday.

....Did anyone get that? :p

Thank-you, I have no idea why this would be blocked in Canada.

OT: Awesome, another point for science. That's seriously amazing. Looks like the future isn't as far off as we all thought.

Wow, that thing really looks like some cheap make-up of some advance technology on a Sci-Fi show.

But it's real.
