And then you go and put it in the quote making that all meaningless. Good job.

That said that already came up in some form when looking at the cut content. It seems to me that a lot of this is just restoring things that were cut. Which could be good or bad.

I'm one of those people that was somewhat disappointed by the ending, but didn't think it was that bad in the grand scheme of things.

1.9 gigs? Jesus fuck, I'll just wait until they're recorded and put on YouTube.

As always, I speculate that the mass relays were repaired and all was right with the universe.

okay well that crushed what little hopes down of what I had for the Extended Cut down to a pebble stone.

still I hope the internet gets angry at bioware at even a 5th the amount they did with the original ending because last time was so hilarious.

And this should turn that stone into sand

I don't care anymore. Even if it turns out to be exactly what I wanted (indoctrination theory). My rage has sated, and I've come out as being eternally fixated on complete aversion to anything EA and specifically BioWare, and no amount of DLC is going to fix it.

Good thing there's youtube.

Everyone. Please, please, PLEASE DO NOT procure this DLC. It will only send BioBEware the message that they're doing a good job when they clearly aren't.
Diddo.

So they explain why Joker is acting out of character and being a coward. Bioware, I'll hold off my final opinion on the DLC until it comes out but it's already not looking good.

If the DLC cost money that would make sense. However it does not, so how would this send the message they are doing a good job?

By the way, has anyone told to the indoctrination theory believers about this? All details that came out so far kind of burn that one theory to the ground.

And, well, the screenshot with that line from Hackett does sound like a cheesy way to get out of the corner the writers put themselves into.

Also, they won't change the ending in any way, so space-godchildren can still overrule your right to think rationally and forces you into the ending. I guess they will add a few dialogues with him, too, but most of the content are simply videos that show the different outcomes. Considering how many people were mad at the ending itself, this accomplishes nothing from their point of view.

DAMN IT! So the explanation for why Joker was flying the Normandy through a mass effect relay was that he was being a coward and somehow teleported my companions to him while at the same time leaving my apparent corpse behind?

Yeah that fits in with the overall thematic and narrative structure of the Mass Effect Trilogy just like the ending -_-

I'm not holding my breath. In fact I'm expecting a smoldering pile of manure.

See just how bad ME3 was opened my eyes to the steady drop in duality of their game since their acquisition by EA.

How are you getting "Joker is acting out of character and being a coward" Out of "Meet up at the Rendezvous point"?

Again, where are you getting the "Being a coward" thing from? This is confusing me greatly.

1. A better explanation of the Reaper's motivations. Right now, it doesn't make any fucking sense. As we all know. I'm not going to get into it.
That's actually the reason the ending fails in my opinion. Giving the Reapers a motivation is a BAD idea. The monster is always scarier when it is UNKNOWABLE. When you give the monster a motivation, it stops being scary. The Reapers should just kill and harvest us because that's just what they do.

2. A better explanation of what the flying fuck that kid even IS. Is he a reaper? Is the Citadel? Is the the Citadel a Reaper? Is he the entire Reaper Hive Mind? All of the above? What the fuck is he? (Preferably something NOT stupid)
He's the AI that controls the Reapers. He says so much in the game. Hell, I think that's the clearest part of the entire "Bad" part of the ending.

3. The removal of the bit where Joker ends up on a random planet. Barring total removal, I would at least like a better explanation for why he's running, how my squad got there, how he even SURVIVES, etc. But even if they explain all that, it won't stop that entire thing from being INCREDIBLY anti-climactic. So Joker has to bone my (lesbian) love interest to repopulate the species, huh? Gee, how fucking inspiring. Oh, and I guess Garrus get's to watch. He sure as hell has nothing better to do. Yeah, that's a great final moment of the series.
I do think they need to explain why squad members that were with you when you are rushing the Citadel beam are suddenly on the Normandy. That's about my only gripe with that scene.

At the risk of turning this into a full spoiler discussion thread

Summary of main points i got from reading the forums:
This was a do or die mission where no one knew what the crucible was or what it did, and original bttle plan was to guard it until it fired. So the whole "meet up at rendez vous point" sounds shoved in already, meet up and regroup for what? If they blew it there, there would be no 2nd try.

On joker acting out of character=seems quite a few are saying joker wouldn't abandon sheperd, period.
So overall reception on BSN is...not welcoming xD

Personally i'll wait till it's on youtube.

I wasn't expecting a firm release date until July, so finding out it'll be available for download in less than four days is great. I wasn't impressed with the ending to Mass Effect 3 so hopefully this... makes the glaring plot holes a little less... glaring?

Regardless, I'm just hoping it'll help but I'm not expecting a miracle.

Joker wouldn't ever abandon Shepard. No matter if it meant risking the ship, crew, or himself. Joker would stay if not try to pick up Shepard. He wouldn't get an order to run, say "Yes sir." and fly off unless Shepard ordered him to. Now if that happens in the DLC, cool but by that screenshot we get order to run and in the already made ending Joker runs. That's also why I said I will wait to make my final opinion until I play/see it. But by that one screen it's not looking like this ending is going to make (most) people happy.

I think people are reading in the whole "Joker is ABANDONING Shepard" part. At the start of the assault, Joker drops off Shepard and leaves to rejoin SWORD. Was that "ABANDONING" Shepard? No.

All you have in that picture is one line of dialogue. That's it. There isn't anything to imply that Joker has any reason to believe that Shepard is in any kind of danger or hell, if Joker even knows where Shepard is at that point. So to say that Joker is 'Abandoning' Shepard is pure conjecture on the part of the posters.
